We called ahead because we were stuck in traffic and were told at 6:10 p.m. that there was “no wait,” yet the soonest seating available was 7:45. That was confusing. When we arrived, the actual wait ended up being about 40 to 45 minutes, which would have been completely understandable on a busy Friday night. The confusion just started things off on the wrong foot.
Once seated, the issues continued. Our server, Chris, seemed much more engaged with his other tables. We waited quite a while to place our order, and although the food itself was excellent as always, service was very inconsistent.
I ordered sweet tea, and it was incorrect twice. It wasn’t unsweetened tea, but it definitely wasn’t sweet tea either. After the second attempt, I asked for ginger ale instead. It took several minutes, and when it finally arrived, it was a warm bottle. I then had to repeatedly ask for a cup of ice. Our server said he would bring it, but didn’t. We flagged down another staff member who never returned.
Thankfully, Casey stepped in. He was attentive, kind, and immediately brought me a full glass of ice within seconds. Later, when I mentioned the sweet tea issue to him, he brought me a fresh, properly sweet glass right away. That small act of responsiveness truly stood out. Casey was the only team member who delivered the level of service I’ve consistently experienced at other Cheesecake Factory locations.
Unfortunately, the service challenges continued through the end of the meal. We had to remind our server about to-go boxes and a to-go cup, and even at checkout things felt rushed and disorganized. For a party of three with a $135 bill, we simply expected a smoother, more attentive experience.
The food was great, as it always is. But service makes a difference. Based on this visit, I would not return to this Fort Worth location. I truly hope management recognizes team members like Casey who exemplify what great service should look like.
I rarely dine there. Today however, my son wanted to celebrate his Birthday with a family lunch there!
Our food was delicious. Every single item! The Carbonara never disappoints, and my Spicy Rigatoni Vodka Sauce pasta was fantastic.
The extensive children’s menu is also such a great touch!
Our kind waiter went out of his way to ensure my son had a beautiful Birthday celebration!
Very good experience all around and I love the decor / ambiance.
The bartender was incredibly nice and helpful they really made the experience special despite the stressful weather buildup outside. To top it off, the bathrooms were spotless. It turned what could have been a disappointing birthday into a really cozy and memorable evening.
My wife ordered the Four Cheese Pasta with Chicken, which is something we’ve ordered before. When the dish first came out, it was clearly lacking the creamy, cheesy consistency we’re used to. It looked dry, and you could barely see any cheese in the dish. We brought it to our waiter’s attention (I unfortunately don’t remember his name), and to his credit, he had the meal remade. The second plate did appear much cheesier and more like what we normally expect.
However, later that night, my wife became very ill and began experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning. That completely overshadowed any effort to correct the original issue. It’s extremely upsetting when a night out with your family results in someone getting sick.
We’ve dined here before and have usually had good experiences, which makes this even more concerning. Food quality and safety should never be a gamble. I hope management takes this seriously and looks into what may have happened, because no family should have to worry about getting sick after eating at a restaurant.
Very disappointed.
Update: I make the comment above. The cheesecake factory replies with go to the website to file your complaint. I went to website and filed the complaint. I have yet to here anything. I don’t even feel like a valued customer.
