About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

We paid $44.00 for a cold and black hair encrusted large deep dish pizza. I’m 7mo pregnant and I wanted a nice cheesy deep dish. We live 10 mins away and my husband got there 10 mins after the pizza was supposed to be finished. It wasn’t “finished” and he waited. The pizza came out cold and with a bunch of nice black frizzy hair. My husband is bald and I have brown hair. Disgusting. Disappointed. Feeling ripped off.

I placed an order for 2 small 9 inch pizzas today, I prepaid so my daughter could pick up our dinner. The order was placed at 5:50 and was told they would be ready in 35 minutes, it’s 7pm and these pizzas are still not ready. I’m very disappointed that they can’t get two small pizzas on time for the expected pick up.

Went to pick up my pizza and waited for 30 minuets in the store listening to employees getting ridiculed and called horrible things by what I can only assume is the manger. Pizza was cold by the time I got it and missing half of what I ordered. Will definitely not be going back to this location.

What can I say even though there’s no dining in or delivery and is a very small store the pizza is huge on the Lou Malnatis taste do yourself a favor and grab a cup of ranch as if this pizza can’t get any better. Call ahead because you’ll be waiting forever for this pizza to be done or bring a six pack so you can drink it in the waiting area

We order pizza on Sunday Feb12 it was my sun Birthday we have couple people invited pizza tast great, in the evening whoever eat pizza got sick our entire family was vomiting stomach pains it’s feb14 and im still sick! we will never order again from this place!!
