Outstanding bread and pastries. Great coffee and a small breakfast trailer as well. Don’t sleep in , especially on a weekend. I went at 10:45 and they were sold out of nearly everything. Came back the next day at 9:15am to walk right in and find the best scones and hand pies I’ve ever eaten and brioche based item called a Bostock you have to try. The line was out the door by the time I sat down to eat.

Wonderful little bakery, Brooke was amazing! Very cute, delicious blueberry almond scones, best chai latte I’ve ever had. We will absolutely be back when we are in town.

Do not skip this gem of a bakery if you are visiting Salida. I have not experienced its equal in my recent travels, even to really big cities. Get a lemon bar and sit outside to enjoy the aroma of the outdoor oven. Incredible!!

Really tasty bagels and sandwich, just a bit too pricey in my opinion! Wish they had a few more options for cold drinks as well instead of just the ones in bottles.

Was not a great experience. The extra small bakery seemed packed with just 10 people in it. Very little choice of baked goods and very expensive, but what I bought (tart cherry hand pie) was delicious.

This is a gem with delicious fresh baked breads and pastries plus a breakfast menu. Most of the seating is outdoors.

Little Red Hen Bakery makes the BEST BREAD on this planet! It’s an 80-mile drive one way for me to go to this bakery and it’s worth it! Typically, I make my own bread, but when possible, I go to Salida and buy 10 loaves at a time!

Awesome little bakery! The Little Red Hen is a must do every time I’m in town. I love their local focus, including their bathroom soap! They don’t always have them, but their sandwiches are amazing.

I ordered two gluten-free treats to bring to a friend’s for breakfast, the Cherry Almond Scone and a Morning Glory Muffin. This was my first visit to Little Red Hen Bakery. The scone was perfect, with bits of soft cherry in crispy bites and a finish of rock sugar for sweetness. The muffin had a heavy flavor I couldn’t quite place, almost like a rye flour. I think I expected more of a carrot cake like moistness and sweetness, rather than a predominantly savory tone.
