Heading back to my hometown, my friends and I debated on where to eat. We saw the restaurant coming up and jokingly said let’s try it but decided it really try it and I’m so glad we did.

Saturday night my husband picked up the absolute best spinach salad with traditional hot, bacon dressing, added grilled chicken breast that I’ve ever tasted!

I’m was super excited to come to the cute restaurant to try their Louisiana Steak Salad. The waitress forgot to bring me my drink, and the appetizer was cold (mozzarella sticks). The salad came out, and it looked amazing till l I bit onto it… the steak was hard as a rock and salad below the top layer was wilted and bitter. The waitress came over and wanted to know if we wanted dessert. She clearly noticed that I did not touch my salad in front of me and never said anything, but neither did I. I felt bad because the waitress was adorable and acted like she new and did want to hurt her feelings. I ordered the peanut butter pie, and that was amazing! The atmosphere was adorable! Would I go back… yes! My husband ordered a pizza and he said that was very good!

We had a very friendly server for our first time there. The pizza was pretty good. The wife had a couple small issues with her dish, but the server made it right. We will try them again when we are in the area.

When we moved to Dowagiac this was the first restaurant we tried, and were recommended. We moved from an area with a similar sized and ran establishment. What I can say, is this place blew them out of the water. It offers such a wide variety of delicious food. Frog legs are even on the menu, as well as my favorite, the Monte Cristo. I have tried a few different dishes as well as my wife at this point and not one thing has disappointed. In fact it exceeded and smashed my expectations. The inside feels cozy, and seems to attract an older crowd, which in my opinion is better. The only thing I will say they could possibly improve on, is the entry way size, as well as setting up a window or separate area for strictly take out orders. This would greatly streamline their process. Fantastic food, for the perfect price! Bravo.

Food is hit and miss. It gets expensive quick with 5 kids, like $6.99 I think for a simple hot dog and and fries. Buffalo chicken wrap was amazing! I also loved the stuffed mushrooms. They gave us free fruit for the kids, because they messed up the order, so that was nice.

Always consistent quality & service. Food was excellent. Famous Frog Legs, peacan crusted chicken salad, steak salad, and my grandson’s favorite- the lemon chicken with rice! Picky eaters will enjoy the cheese pizza!

This is one of our go-to’s for both family meals out and dates. I grew up eating here and the food has remained consistent and delicious throughout the years and new owner.

So I was a big fan of the place old owner, went every week for food, then new owner kept everything the same so keep going, then Covid hit and everything since then has not been the same. The burgers were home made and amazing, then they switch to regular frozen, so haven’t gotten a burger in years because of it. Then raised the prices that are actually high in the area and compared to other places, Makes no sense! Then service is hit or miss last couple years, they don’t even seem like they even want to be there, then the last 3 times did it for me, the prime rib special was lack luster terrible taste and cut, the wings was a big fan of for years, a few months back ordered the bone in, and half of them were raw! Sent that back and they didn’t do anything, the boneless is a joke, they keep going back and forth with suppliers, and no sauce. Always short on sauce, that’s never consistent, the quality keeps changing, sometimes it’s real chicken then most other times it’s round balls process meat that taste like chicken nuggets like from McDonald’s. Save your money! $12.99 for process fake meat is pathetic. Go to mcDonald’s and save money. It’s sad that it’s always changing and with the high prices. I use to go every week for years, but last 2 years I’m down to once a month, then since the raw wings I stopped going, but figured to give them a try again, and not anymore after this week not at all! Poor beer selection, high food prices, and in consistency on quality. My new hangout is wounded minnow in Dowagiac 5 more mins away, always good service, good food and good food prices plus better beer selection!
