Amazing food and experience, I went with a few people and we all enjoyed our orders. We had finger sandwiches- which were moderately small, coffee, tea, macaroons and a variety of pastries. Would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a small afternoon tea.

The food at this location does not represent this brand at all! Internationally, they may be known for their macarons, but in DC don’t buy ANYTHING else from their shop. They deserve zero stars. I bought 2 sandwiches and they were disgusting!!! Slimy gross shredded lettuce with the slimiest smelliest salmon (no way this was fresh). Stale hard bread. We were shocked at the poor quality – absolutely inedible. Can’t believe we paid for this. Thought with a good reputation we would have a nice picnic lunch but when we opened them up to eat we just threw them out. Waste of $$!! In Georgetown, where there are so many great places to choose from, please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else – don’t make the same mistake we made.

World’s best macarons!!!! I literally tried many macarons but nothing can beat them. Everything tastes so good. My most favourite one is the Rose macaroon it literally tastes like a rose. I wonder how they get the flavour so perfectly. Even the orange flavour it literally tastes like orange. If one could to test them blind folded they would not believe that is a macaroon. The texture is good and has always been the same consistency. Do look out for the seasonal flavours they are too good as well. Also the hot chocolate the best in town. The croissants, canele, hazelnut pastry and sandwiches everything is so good. They only have few locations like 3 in New York, 1 in Washington DC and the other in Los Angeles. What I heard it that every three days these macaroons would fly all the way from Paris. Definitely try the Rose.

I’ve come here multiple times, sometimes to eat in (high tea) and sometimes just to grab some goodies and go. The service is always fantastic! The dining area is tight and can feel pretty cramped when it’s full, but it doesn’t change the flavors or quality. I know you’re paying for the Ladurée experience and that’s not cheap, but the price of eating in can feel a little tainted by the tightness of the space.

The ambiance was charming and reminiscent of a patisserie in Paris. Unfortunately this also included the same condescending service. We had made reservations well in advance for a bachelorette tea, however upon arrival there was visible confusion from the staff. Regardless we were somewhat accomodated near eachother, which was acceptable. What I found unacceptable was false communication on the menu. Their entrées are announced as coming with pommes frites and a salad. Our table ordered a pasta and no additional sides arrived; when asked we were told the sides did not apply to the pasta. While i agree that french fries do not go as a side with pasta, but why advertise it on your menu if the item is not included? At the very least a salad, which is a perfect pairing to pasta, should have been brought out. In reality we were told they could add it for an additional charge. Extremely unprofessional to advertise something and not provide it. We were told by the waitress Abigail that it is because the menu is in French that we did not understand it. Two problems with this: 1) the English translation is available directly under French; 2) I am fluent in French, the menu was simply misleading. The pasta itself was extremely undercooked. Frequently visiting Italy has accustomed me to perfect al-dente pasta. This dish did not fall under those margins. The flavour was relatively bland and not particularly appealing. Personally if i went back it would probably be for pastries only.

To say that this place is beautiful and elegant is an understatement. It’s definitely made to be Instagrammable, and has that high-end feel. Anyway, the Ladurée macarons are the main draw of the place, so that’s what we decided to get during our visit. I went with a dozen macaron filled with flavors I don’t usually encounter, like Marie Antoinette, ispahan, passion fruit, etc.

We came without a reservation and the hostess was kindly proposed us a table to have a coffee. Of course as all Laduree prices are above average but it is worth it. There were many fresh desserts. I can’t say that I was too impressed with macarons. They were tasty and rich in origin flavor. At the same time other desserts were amazingly delicious. Especially a raspberry tart. It is a perfect place to enjoy yourself in a beautiful morning.

They have a wide variety of pastries and macarons. I love the different flavors, many of which are unique. They have croissant-based sandwiches for lunch and a nice tea service, also with a wide variety of options that you can’t find elsewhere. I had a pot of tea which makes about three cups worth (my only suggestion would be to provide more tea). The cafe is decorated nicely and you would think your in a tea shop in Paris.
