The staff were great, very welcoming and outgoing. Very helpful and answered all of our questions. Very clean and bright room with great music, chips, salsa, drinks on the fly. I was so pleased with the service that I received from this business. they went above and beyond to make my daughters birthday special. Food was good, portions are more than enough. We are so glad to have a good Mexican place in our home of Sherwood. Now we have somewhere that we like to go with our family and friends. Even though that they are understaffed and are looking for more employees, they work their tails off and I see them running and going.. Way to go La Sierra. Keep it up.

They are off to a great start. The prices are very reasonable, tons of food, and it is very good grub. Great staff. Sherwood needed a place like this.

Oh man, I was so excited when I saw they were opening – we have always enjoyed the one in Dundee. My family went to try it out after the lunch rush, there were only two other people there, already eating. We weren’t greeted, even though three people saw us come in. Then eventually a girl came over and said sit anywhere. No hello, how are you or anything. Oh well, we were still excited. Our server was really friendly, I liked the salsa, chips were stale and not homemade. I was super grossed out when I pulled the longest, curliest, blackest hair out of the chips. Not a great start. Food was – underwhelming. Free dessert. I just wanted to get out of there so fast. It was not a good time, I don’t know if we will be back.

We were seated rather quickly, and there was a slight wait to order drinks. After that, we were checked in on one time for the next 70 minutes. No salsa, no water, no margaritas, no dinner, and no update. I went to the cantina to order some beers while we wait, but there was nobody present. We had to ask the hostess for an ETA on our dinner. The food was decent, but our daughter’s meal was lukewarm. After the meal, we asked for our check, and did not receive it. We went up to pay with the hostess. Very understanding of a new business on a Friday night, but customer service needs to be paramount. If we were simply offered another drink, an update, or any kind of check in, we would understand. Without that, it seemed as if we were forgotten. There is plenty of Mexican food in the area, so please make sure to establish dependable service over anything.

The server was chill and food, is better than the last place (at least the enchiladas and tacos). However, I’d like a less spicy option for salsa, and the chips were definitely stale. The chips and salsa were the reason for the star reduction. That is almost the most important part, yo.

Let me start by saying, “what kind of an out of touch, selfish (insert favorite bad word here) gives a restaurant 1 star because there was a bit of a wait to get a drink? That can affect their entire business and has nothing to do with their foods flavor, atmosphere or their interaction with their servers. I give that entitled review 1 star and hope they get a real world reality check that takes them down a peg. Preferably, one that’s handed to them by the same unrealistic entitlement that affects their livelihood.”

We went for lunch last week at Sherwood La Sierra as we liked the Dundee restaurant. We had terrific service, however, the chips were stale and old. So much so that we elected to skip lunch and shared the disappointment with our lovely server. Come on La Sierra….. first impressions are key to success. We will try again in the future.

This was a great experience! The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing and the pricing was very reasonable (compared to other restaurants of the same cuisine) I hope this place takes off in the way that it should!
