The location was easy access with a reasonable amount of parking. The atmosphere wasn’t anything to speak about and the bathrooms needed much needed attention. The staff were very friendly and informative of their menu. The food was excellent and very tasty. Recommended for the food and staff only.

This is a great place to go to try Dominican food. It is similar to Puerto Rican food and other Carribean food, but has its own specialties. La Esquinita de Negra is a place that everyone should try at least once to experience something different. This food is very good. Please note that this is NOT Mexican food, and there is a big difference. Not everyone who speaks Spanish eats the same foods. I like really like Carribean food, and the Dominican items on the menu here were great. There are other places that have similar foods close to Dayton, and Cincinnati, but this is the first Dominican restaurant that I’ve found and tried. This is a small business with ambition to succeed, and they are doing a great job.

This was my first experience with Dominican food and it definitely won’t be my last! The flavors of everything was amazing I got a fried chicken platter with monfongo. I also got a chicken empanada and the flavor was seriously so delicious!

I found out about this place because I was craving for Fried Whole Fish with Head. I literally just Google and it is one of the closest restaurants. I am glad i took a chance coz the fish was really fresh tasting and really huge for the price. I am the only one who eats fish head in the family so took me 3 meals to finish the entire fish so it is a really good value for the money! It is a Dominican restaurant and I have been to Punta Cana so I am kind of familiar with the taste of their food. They also have this mini dessert that taste like coconut candies. Get the fried plantains as the sides and you won’t regret it!

This place is amazing! The chicken is always tender. The pork is delicious as well. I always get the meal that includes meat, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and fried plantains and the combination of all those foods is satisfying and refreshing. The fried plantains are a nice dessert. OK I think I’ve said enough- go try it out.

A friend happened upon this place and I’m so happy to find another Dominican restaurant closer to Dayton! The flavors were all absolutely fantastic!!! Had fried pork chops that were a little dry, but the beans’ moisture balanced the bites out enough for it not to be a big deal. Three tostones or maduros come with each order, so if you enjoy them a lot definitely order more on the side! (They’re the long thin-ish sliced kind.) Will 100% be returning again!!!
