Absolutely delightful! Gated free parking in the back end of the block. Efficient staff with tools for success – text notification when your table is ready and simple point of sale for check out. Unique menu including a variety of coffee, hot chocolate, and juices. We ordered the ham&bacon omelet and mango steak. Both were delicious. As was the coffee(black), which is served hot in a large mug. Great waiter. Clear menu (Spanish and English). I’m so glad we stumbled upon this local jewel.

Came on a Sunday morning, place was moderately busy. Ordered a coffee and the Cafe de Ola, which was very good, I liked the cinnamon twist to it. My wife ordered the mole rancheros and it was way too spicy, my dish was also spicy the la cathedral. We also ordered the crepes with cream cheese and bananas, it was okay. Overall, I think we should of just ordered American style breakfast.

If you live in the area or plan to be in the area, I would suggest this place as the portions are large and the food is made on the spot. The waitress and waiters are of exceptional service. Not to mention that the food as well as the service and portions are also exquisite and very filling. The options that are included within the menu cater to those who want to lean more toward the authentic Mexican flavor which is great taking into consideration the area that this restaurant is located in. Despite all these amazing things one minor flaw is that this place tends to get full very fast. The interior is very comforting and very aesthetically pleasing and doesn’t take away from the food. Overall this place is an incredible Little Village gem.

The place is beautiful inside. The walls are covered with so much beauty. From statues to paintings. There is a wait to get in but once your sat down your food does take a while to come as well. They do have a upstairs as well. Down to the food I had the 2x2x2 and it was okay nothing to special but the Mexican food is delicious and tasteful. The liquado (smoothies) are very good, a recommended much try. The other Mexican related foods tasted good just wasn’t something different.

This place is good, not great. It is BUSY. Busy atmosphere, busy decor. The food was delicious, yes; however, the service was extremely disappointing. Our family of 5 made a reservation for 9:30 AM and were sat right away. We were given a table for 4 directly below the music speakers BLASTING music and with a chair next to the kitchen where employees come in and out of. We politely asked to be seated elsewhere (there were at least 3 other tables available and a second floor…) Although the food was great, the whole dining experience was loud, crowded, uncomfortable and rushed. Our plates/drinks risked spilling as they hung off the table. The servers are itching to seat the next person and are in no way personal with their guests. They just stare and watched us struggle to arrange our plates so we could eat. Oh and….Automatic gratuity is charged on your bill regardless of party size.

Our first time here and we loved it. We went pretty early in the day (around 8:30-9am) so it wasn’t as busy as other reviews stated. We joined the waitlist and writhing 5 minutes we were seated. Service was great and quick and our waiter was very helpful. We had the chilaquiles and pancakes along with the cafe de olla and two juices. Food was great and the drinks were amazing. I took the café de olla to go. I will say that it does get very loud in there. I wasn’t very sure about parking or if they had parking lot so we ended up parking the street. Upon arriving to the restaurant they have a sign with their parking. I’ll definitely be back and this time I won’t be stressing for parking.

My husband was raving about this restaurant so I finally came to try it out…so delicious!!! They were very busy and we did have to wait about 40 mins to be seated but it was well worth it. The decor is beautiful and the food was exceptional – we had the chilaquiles verdes and “La Catedral” and drank the cafe de olla and a Mexichata. Yum!
