Just trendy tacos. No real salsa. Just Pico de Gallo. Over priced for what you get. Beans are just flavorless pinto not refried. Very “chain” Mexican food vibe. Lots of microwave use. Stuff seems homemade just doesn’t give off that flavor or technique. Pork tamale expensive, dry with an unpleasant taste. Tangy? Sour? I couldn’t decipher. Carne asada fine. I think my mom liked her chicken tacos. I don’t live in Nopo anymore but even if I did I don’t think I’d order again. Looks pretty though. So, I guess eat with your eyes.

The food here was great! Portions were generous, the food was really tasty and fresh, and the drinks were really good. We tried the red enchiladas (a little spicy!) and the carne asada and both plates were quite good. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the service; the servers didn’t take names/numbers so there’s no way you know when your food is done. It’s just on a counter at some point when the kitchen completes it. While the food comes out pretty fast, it is kind of confusing especially when they are busy with dinner rush. Overall would return for takeout or online ordering, probably wouldn’t want to dine in again.

The stewed meat is really good. We’ve had the meat tacos, salad and nachos. They have fritas now and I haven’t tried them yet, but they look killer. This place has a modern kick without compromising the classic taqueria eats.

The absolute worst tasting food I’ve ever tried to eat. First bite into a chicken taco and I couldn’t swallow it down. We’ve given this place a second try after the same experience with their burritos. Sure the portions are large but the flavor, there’s something not right about it. Not sure if the meat was greasy or if it was over spice. it was disgusting & went straight to the trash. Also there were layers of dust in the dining area & the bathroom was filthy. There won’t be a third try.

Delicious food! And they aren’t the type of place to guilt you into tipping with the suggested tips on a tablet while they wait for you to pay. It was mostly people picking up takeout while we were there but there’s a good amount of seating inside for a small restaurant.

The problem with most Mexicans food restaurants is that they try to aim for semi authentic Mexican plates but often fall short due to the bar being set so low to begin with. This place is not like those places and rather than aiming high and falling short they strike the perfect balance between authentic Mexican plates/recipes and the reality of catering to a mostly anglo clientele. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a mild experience in the Mexican cuisine. If you’re looking for the bold flavors of mexican recipes and authenticity in each plate, this place might not be for you. With that said the place was clean and the service friendly. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is pleasant.
