Delish!! Both meals came out piping hot and fresh. Camarones al Jibaro flavored with just the right amount of spices and vegetables. The Pollo Frito was seasoned well and tasty. Entree sides of yellow rice and beans cooked to perfection. House salad was crisp. Had the Tres Leches with drizzled raspberry, chocolate and crushed oreo cookie for dessert topping off an amazing meal. Staff were attentive with a humorous attitude. Continually checking on the customer’s satisfaction. . Restaurant seating, tables and bathroom were clean And maintained. We were positively greeted at entry and departure with a Thank you. Recommend this establishment for a relaxed atmosphere and superbly flavored entrées. Thanks to all for a Great dinning experience!

Great new addition to the Cape May restaurant scene! Very friendly staff who knew the menu well and were able to give us great suggestions. Everything we ordered was delicious: Cuban empanada (which made all of us want to come back and try their Cuban sandwich) and tostones to start. One shrimp and one pork mofogo, (so filling we each had leftovers for lunch) and a shredded pork shoulder pernil dish.

My husband stumbled upon this restaurant while we were planning our trip down to Cape May. Nestled in the Acme shopping center in North Cape May I nearly missed it but so glad I was able to stop by. We ordered the tostones and a couple of tres leches dessert and the food was very good. I’m so bummed to hear they will be closing after this weekend but hoping another Puerto Rican restaurant/food truck opens up in the near future in the area as I am always looking for opportunities to have Latin American food.

If you’ve never had pernil, you have a chance to taste the best at La Bahia! Beyond amazingly delicious. And Mofongo was fabulous. Then …we took a chance on dessert. Tres Leches was moist, melting in the mouth cake, stunning. So good. We’ll be back and back and …

Figured I would try this place out because of the Facebook reviews… got 2 platters for $30 here.. upon taking two bites into the macaroni salad the bottom of it was filled with what looked like chicken grease upon getting halfway through the chicken it was not cooked in the middle itself at all. Rice had hard pieces throughout the whole thing and was cold would NOT Recommend will not be returning.

I had lunch there today and it far exceeded my expectations! The food was fresh and amazing! The prices are beyond reasonable and the place is spotless. The service was great and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Best of luck to the owners and I will definitely be back!!

Cute dining room, decorated tastefully. Food was absolutely perfect. Fast service at counter, food cooked and brought out in great timing, Asked if we needed anything else. My daughter couldn’t wait to get home to eat, started eating as soon as she sat in the car. She’s already planning her next trip there.

Definitely a hidden gem. As someone who has eaten Puerto Rican cuisine most of my life, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of my meal. I ordered a Pernil Platter with a side of tostones.

Food is awesome. Prices are reasonable. I had the Pollo frito. No need to ever go to Chick Filet again. I also ordered Pernil, slow cooked pork, delicious. I gave 4 stars because the dinners come with rice and beans, but the beans never made it to my house. ☹️ When i called a very nice, Angelo, said he was sorry and said he would make it up to me next time. So I guess no beans tonight. Lastly, I think local businesses should use their own delivery people. It cost me an addition 9 dollars in service and delivery. These apps are expensive for the owners and the customer.

I ordered food from here from GrubHub for the first time and wow…it was horrible. The Chuleta Frita was over salted pork chops. No decent flavor…just an abundance of salt. The tostones were so dry I could barely swallow them and bland. The grandules were bland and had no flavor. They actually put the house salad in the same container as the hot food so when I got it the salad was warm and soggy. So disappointed.
