This is A hidden gem. There isn’t a sign up to show they are in the shopping mall but it’s worth a visit. They’re sandwiched between to churches. If you go in a weekend you may get some great food and a good sermon from the churches. The portions are large and the meat is very flavorful. I prefer my meat a little more tender but the other family members liked it as it was. The goat was great as well as the lamb. The Mac and cheese very very cheesy. I added a little salt to make it perfect for my taste but overall I give this place a 9 out of 10. They have a store as well. Check out the pics

The food I ordered (lamb & goat w/ rice) was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ginger & pineapple drink is made with a kick of a spicy ingredient but it is very refreshing.

The food was great!! We ordered the 3 meat combo. The Jollof rice was different from the kind I’m used to, but nonetheless it was very good. I had never tried Senegalese food. I like it. Omar provided us with great customer service and hospitality. He was very friendly and assured us We made a great choice. My husband went crazy for the goat. He suggested the hibiscus drink, which is VERY sweet. I diluted it with sparkling water. Tasty. The entry/restaurant area is a bit cluttered with merchandise. The items do seem to be very authentic and genuine handy crafts. The grocery area is full of ingredients for home cooking. I work in an American grocery store and never see 90% of the items on the shelves here. Omar predicted that we would return. I think he just might be right.

First time here. It’s in an small obscure shopping center. And there is NO sign of the name of the restaurant. Unless you know it, you found it on Google, you would not know there is a restaurant here. Inside the restaurant there is a small grocery store. Simple menu. I came here for good meats based on other reviews and I got it. I love the taste of lamb. Know that these lamb come with bones. It may be tough somewhere and a bit greasy! But the peppery flavor was heaven! I don’t know what West African lamb should taste like but I sure do like the taste. Staff was attentive and patient with my questions. The place could use a little more even simple update to make it shine a little. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

They do the best grilled everything. And I think it’s priced perfectly. I drive all the way from Baltimore for this place and I send everyone I know here if they are looking for great tasting meat. I always get the lamb but the chicken and goat are great too. Also their rice is well done. The place is small but they put out biggggg flavors. (get the lamb lol….as I eat some while I type this). Oh yes! The mustard sauce is a must have along with the meats.

Let me first say, that we did not visit this restaurant location. But, we stopped by Koite Grill Stand at RFK Stadium Open Air Farmers’ Market in DC and we ordered Lamb, Chicken with JOLLOF Rice, Purple Tea and a upside down Pineapple Poundcake. Our food was perfectly cooked. Everything was flavorful, juicy and on point. The staff was helpful and friendly. I’m recommending this meal to everyone!

All I can say is that if I’m ever going back to Washington DC I’m stopping by here. Although their Jollof wasn’t my version of Jollof, it was still good and The Baobob drinks they had was phenomenal. People there were so friendly and open willing to talk to you. Overall nice experience
