In looking for new dining experience, our group was sent to Kermit’s downtown Tupelo. Most of the time, I start with a basic dish to set a baseline such as a cheeseburger and fries. This location had a brisket burger instead of beef and so I gave it a go. It was not a disappointment. However, it did seem to be just not of my taste. My coworkers got the sausage and cheese plate and were very satisfied with it. So when I go back I will be having the same. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was spot on. Parking may be difficult but should be expected when dining downtown anywhere. I recommend giving this restaurant a try whenever you f8nd yourself in Tupelo looking for something different from the usual. 9/10 highly recommend.

Good vegan options! Staff was super super nice. Cool environment, good food. Those cauliflower breadsticks are so dang good. I should’ve bought a box of them to go. My only issue is that the marinated tomatoes side was actually just mixed veggies (see bottom left). Still tasty though!

Ambiance is ok. Husband got the combo trio which was decent and a good amount of food. I got the Fried Brisket sandwich. I’ve cooked plenty of briskets in my lifetime and this was no where near a product they should be marketing as an edible brisket. I did let the chef know that the fat to meat ratio was out of control. I couldn’t even take a bite without having to fight to tear some type of meat off between the huge layers of fat. Then I had to spit out chunks of super chewy fat. She let me know that’s the marbling of the brisket. No ma’am. It is not. Yall are keeping the fat cap on and using it as filler to use less of the meat. If that brisket was smoked right that fat would have been gelatinous. They did offer to make me something else. But, we were pressed for time. Needless to say, I was super disappointed. We really love their sister restaurant Neon Pig, so this was a total let down.

My taste buds had a wonderful lunch I tried the Smoked wings with a sweet and tangy sauce paired with the Honey, Goat cheese and chickpea salad Fast and Friendly service! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and music! I sat at the bar area and chatted with the chef for bit! Awesome experience definitely recommend!

Farm to Table concept. The limited menu allows the staff to present fresh, amazing dishes that combine unique flavors and combinations to familiar ingredients. I recommend being seated where you can get a good view of the open kitchen as the staff is very talented and a pleasure to watch as they prepare every meal to order. The generous drink menu is worth reading all the way through as there are some out side of the box options rarely seen.

KERMIT’s OUTLAW KITCHEN was a nice stop for dinner for some weary hungry travelers. I had an amazingly moist, flavorful smoked BBQ chicken plate with Mac and cheese and Parmesan fries everything tasted amazing… but I still can’t get over that smoked chicken it was amazing! The waitstaff was on their A Game and took very good care of us. My husband enjoyed his Brisket Bowl and we both loved the Berry Margaritas. We will be back it was fabulous and the quirky atmosphere was fun!

This was the best restaurant meal I have had in a very long time. The flavor of the smoke permeated every bit of my chicken. The accompanying sides were crisp and perfectly cooked. This is the kind of food where you taste the freshness of the ingredients. Make sure to get the banana boat for dessert. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, so asked where to go and what to do in town. We were sent on a great date night!
