Honest opinion here. The food is overpriced for quality and taste, but the atomosphere and drinks were pretty dope. The presentation was great. But it doesn’t make up for the taste or lack thereof for the food. Had several sushi plates and tostada appetizers (imo they put you in the mind of taco bell’s gordita crunch) ♀️. Greeted at the door, definitely didn’t have to wait for a table, and the bartender was A1! I had his signature Old Fashioned and it was absolutely amazing. Here for a friend birthday. I saw a Tik Tok showing that the decorations are very unique but when I got there it was kind of disappointed. We got a table by the bar. Didn’t get to see any decor. The food are very pricy. The only good thing is the bar tender made good old fashioned. Not gonna come back for a $350+ sitting next to a bar meal facing a black wall while other get to sit inside and the are tons of table available.

This is your sign to stop going to the predictable fancy restaurants around la and book a table at KAVIAR! Their upscale unique ambiance is unmatched from the low light atmosphere, to the swanky art pieces and decor that line the interior. Everything about curating a vibe is here. The food was amazing! My favorite dish was the al pastor sea bass and the spicy tuna crispy rice. Our server Kyle was very informative on the menu and able to recommend items to fit my parties taste pallets and he did not disappoint. Had an amazing experience and cannot wait to return!

Spectacular meal here. The fish selection is wildly varied and all fresh and flavorful. I had multiple deeper experiences tasting a few of the bites and a straight up Anton ratatouille moment eating the dessert we were served. Staff was wonderful and attentive and the drink selections are well thought out and satisfying. We will 100% be back soon!

This was one of, if not the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From being sat in a pitch black room by ourselves for 13 minutes before we were offered drinks. Or, serving us spoiled fish in 3 separate dishes (2/3 dishes pictured). Being out of almost every dish we tried to order. The duck breast with unrendered fat and gristle (pic included )Then after another customer comes in, the kitchen didn’t want to cook so our waiter literally walked up and said we’re done cooking for the night. Make last call. Or what about just straight up forgetting to cook half of our tables food. Then when we finally had enough and asked for our check and to just leave, no manger, no explanation, no apology nothing. Just give us 400$ for absolutely terrible food and service. This was terrible. I was a chef for 20 years and would be abhorred if I worked for a place like this.

@kaviarrestaurants is new to the arts district and it is so great to have something like this closer to home. Best way to describe it, is that it’s along the lines of Tao but with better food. The oysters were so perfect, the presentation for everything was on point, and I literally ate gold!!! They have someone on staff who actually comes out and serenades the birthday girl too. I couldn’t think of a more special place for a special dinner.

Wonderful experience from our host, Gavin and our amazing chef, Bill. From the moment we arrived the atmosphere and ambiance were 10/10. The information provided about the food and how to pair it was the absolute best. If you’re thinking about a great night out with good music, great food and a relaxing atmosphere think no further.
