We were on our way to Oklahoma, and decided to stop by this place. Delicious BBQ! Amazing pork and turkey sandwiches. Lean and tasty meat with a great selection of sides. Great family owned business! Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Had a craving for some good barbeque and thought I would give Katie’s a try. Katie’s did not disappoint. We got chopped and sliced beef sandwiches. They were awesome. There was almost a pound of meat on that thing. The sauce was tangy and not too sweet. Will definitely be back for more

Been wanting to try this place and finally did Saturday night. I got a sandwich ($6, not a bad price) and my daughter got a platter, which included a sandwich (never heard of a sandwich being on the platter at a BBQ place) and two sides. The mac & cheese looked and tasted like it came from a box mix, and a bag of chips. The cost for the platter? A whopping $12.99. So for an additional $6.99 my daughter got a bag of chips and a small helping of boxed mac and cheese. All I can say, is NEVER again.

Went there for lunch yesterday. I ordered the lunch special, sandwich, side and a drink for $7.95. My husband ordered the chopped beef plate with two sides. It came with two sides but it was just a regular sandwich, should of been charged $7.95 plus one side but she charged $12.50. I think there should be a difference in the amount of meat you get for $4 something more. My husband does not like confrontation and when I found out what he paid I wanted to go back in and argue but he didn’t want to upset the tired old ladies. Okay, but really this place was the worst meal, lunch, food I have ever had. Food was barely warm, potato salad was mashed potato salad, terrible. Ladies were not friendly at all. Stay away.

I’ve searched for good barbecue in the Tyler area and Katies Barbecue is the best in the area ever. I was greeted when I walked in the door and the entire experience was amazing. The sliced beef sandwich and beans both were amazing. I had to go back when I went back to the area and this time I had ribs and potato salad. Ribs melt in your mouth. You certainly will not be disappointed!

This was the cleanest BBQ restaurant I have ever experienced! The staff were very friendly and personable. The young man that cut my meat, cleaned his tools and the cutting board while the older woman rang me up.

I drove from Houston, Texas to try Katie’s BBQ. It was worth the drive. It is a small family owned restaurant. The owner (Kate) made all the guest feel so welcome and comfortable. In addition, the food was Awesome and affordable. Loved It!!
