The pictures from other reviews pulled me in here and it is a cool location. It really does give a very neat dinning experience. They seat you initially and then give you a menu to look over. You then go inside to the register to place an order and pay. They ask at that point if you would like to pay in full or leave open a tab. They then give you a small order tracker thing that you place on your table and they come with your food and take the tracker after they delivered. It’s an interesting concept and it worked fine for the setting.

We had a lovely evening dining out. The Salmon with Oyster Mushrooms was presented beautifully and perfectly cooked in a Kijon Caper Sause. It came with a Kale Salad and culinary cuts of watermelon radish. For a popular Lanesboro dining option and one very hard-working chef, the menu choices are remarkable! Lanesboro, MN, is blessed to have Executive Chef Tyler Shipton and his very pleasant and talented wife!

An amazing gem of a restaurant. Had a next-level BLT with the softest most delicious ciabatta I’ve ever had. The fries were prepared perfectly. I could eat gallons of the mushroom soup. Nice outdoor seating by the river. The owners have a great story and we wish them much success. We will be back!

The setting is picturesque, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food was amazing! They had something for everyone and even Gluten free options for my wife. We liked it so much that we came back twice on the same trip!

Horrible owner attitude and no food served at Junipers restaurant tonight. Our group of 9 made reservations as instructed by email. Stopped into restaurant when opened to confirm reservation. Owner had not looked at email but said they could accommodate our group. We arrived five min early and reservation was not ready. After seated we were informed to get our own water if we wanted any. We promptly ordered separately but at the same time with the owner. We had to pay and give a tip at that time. Half of our group received their food. After 15 min I went inside to ask the owner how long it would be for our remaining orders. Confirmed the featured orders placed and she said they screwed up and would have it right out. I said thank you. 15 more min later one remaining order was delivered. I again went inside and the owner would not wait on me. A waitress asked what I wanted to order. I said we have not received our food and I want my money back. The owner said we can get your food now or you can take it with you. I said no I want my money back. The owner was very unprofessional and rude. The waitress said she gave my $75 back. I asked what about my 20% tip. She said oh I think that will be included. The waitress said sorry but “owners” never apologized. Hope ownership will learn true appreciation for customers.

Incredible food in a beautiful location. The chef is a real master, working the line and running food to the tables like a boss. The menu is beyond the casual dining found in the area. The beers on tap are craft and the cocktails are unique; the prickly pear marg was delicious. The entire vibe was great for family dining but perfect for beers, specifically surly beers that were on tap, with the guys. Nice people running the restaurant. Would highly recommend. Gem of Lanesboro.

Great atmosphere and love that they’re right alongside the river. You’re able to look at the river as you are eating. They’re even using fresh produce from a local grower that delivers every week so that all their vegetables are nice and fresh. Best place to eat at in Lanesboro.

Cute restaurant with a beautiful patio space overlooking the Root River. At this restaurant, you order at the counter and then food is delivered to your table. The service was very friendly. I ordered the veggie bowl with tofu. (And I really appreciated that there was a vegan option on the menu.) It was creative and flavorful, and I would certainly recommend it. My only complaint was that I added tofu to the dish (which cost a whopping $6 to add!) and it was not prepared very well. It lacked flavor (many restaurants marinate or season their tofu) and the texture was very soft – no crispiness or texture. But overall, the food was tasty, and we loved this charming restaurant!

Limited menu, most choices have mushrooms. Salmon, however, was delicious. Made reservations for 8 people, not told at time we could not sit together at same table. Had to make a credit card deposit which was processed weeks before our dinner. Sat at two tables, close together, but so inconvenient to have to go twice to counter first to order drinks, then meal. At time of order, you are required to leave a credit card with cashier. Unheard of!
