Rarely write reviews that are bad, but Jon Ryan’s finally inspired it. This restaurant has so much potential, cute property and great patio area. Staff is very nice. But the food… OMG the food, it’s terrible. I’d compare it to when you go to a cookout where the host did the bare minimum with no effort to make anything tasty or visually pleasing. It’s hard to mess up a burger, but congrats on making a Wendy’s burger more appealing. Tried so many items, many times, trying to like something. NOPE.

Still a great place to bring the family on a weeknight for a great meal without breaking the bank. Our server was super friendly and helpful. The nacho appetizers were really good and tasty. My turkey dinner was great. Large turkey slices with homemade mash and stuffing. Couldn’t finish it, but great lunch the next day. The kids burgers were tasty and the fries were cooked perfectly. The bar had a good array of beers and mixed drink options. Keep it local and bring the family here for dinner soon.

Everything was great. The food is good. Nothing was special about the food, but it all tasted good. Sitting outside is nice, except when trucks drive by. Overall a nice place to go with family or on a date!

Stopped at John Ryan’s in Billerica for a quick dinner. There were five adults and one child, we ordered a variety of dishes from steak to pasta to sandwiches. Everything was equally as good, even the French onion soup was amazing! Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Great experience, We will definitely be back.

Jon Ryan’s is kind of a hidden gem. I’ve never had a bad meal here. I’ve never had a bad drink here. I’ve never had bad service here. Literally every time I’ve been has been a treat. For an Irish pub-type restaurant, this is truly a five star experience. Keep up the good work.

Food in general was good EXCEPT for their version of… Nachos? A piled high plate of corn chips covered in American cheese? With a scant serving of meat? And even less sour cream and salsa. And all for only $21? For $21 I would at least expect enough meat and toppings to make it a meal for one. And who puts American cheese on nachos? I think the Test Kitchen has to reevaluate this dish, I know it turned me off. Poor taste, unsatisfying, over priced.

Took 4 people to help get my wheelchair into the building. While my nurse was pushing me we couldn’t get over the big bump on the door entrance. Other customers had to physically lift me and my chair to get me inside. Very humiliating. We used to go every year for Saint Patrick’s day but now that I’m in a wheelchair we will sadly need to go somewhere else.
