Classic diner around North Austin. Came here for breakfast before work and got myself an eggs benny. Not the best I’ve had but did the trick. Hollandaise was pretty good. However one of the eggs wasn’t poached and was basically hard boiled. The other one was perfect though. I wasn’t a fan of the protein either. It was ham, but I wasn’t too enthralled by it. It reminded me of deli ham. Hash browns were delicious as always. The fruit was a nice touch at the end but some of them weren’t sweet and just sour. Location is a bit outdated which is fine, but I couldn’t help and notice how dusty and dirty the blinds were. The service was quick and kind though. I’ve been to the other location up the freeway and definitely prefer that place more than this one. I feel pretty neutral about this location. Not bad, but not great either.

The best dinner in Austin. Every time we walk in, we feel so welcomed. And today, Michele is our waitress. She is whole heartedly there for us. We also see other waiter and waitress, Ginger and Mario. Mario canes over and greeted with us too. It makes you feel this is a good routine.

Place was full when we got there ,wait time was about 20 minutes. If it wasn’t for the service then I would’ve given them 5 stars. Food was great, pancakes were fluffy and pork chops were tasteful. Had to ask twice for refill on coffee and tea and the third time I didn’t get it. Lots of our food was forgotten even after asking for it. Will go again to different site just for the good and hopefully better service.

Typical greasy spoon, in a good way. If you want to eat breakfast comfort food it’s a great place to go. The service is typically very fast and friendly. It does tend to be a little crowded and loud.

It’s an iconic diner chain. This location has gotten some love since my last visit. The food is good for what it is. Service was not great, but we had the impression that she might have been new. Breakfast is your best bet.

Excellent home cooking for a great price! Our waitress and the gentleman who seated us were both very friendly and inviting. We got the Pioneer Breakfast, the Texas Omelet, and the Eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend!

The staff is friendly and greets you with a smile. The food is great, especially the double meat cheese burger and fries. When ever I’m craving a good grilled hot burger and good size fries…this my spot. You better have an empty stomach if you want the pancakes or chicken fried steak…oh boy! Big boy size food here…lol. thanks to the staff for doing what they do.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place! It has an amazing familiar and local vibe. The food is always good, cooked to order and hot. We typically go for breakfast on the weekends, but the dinner options are pretty tasty too! Give this place a try, trust me!
