A very sporty bbq restaurant. This bbq place is huge, other than main dine in area, they even have 2-3 party rooms at the back. They also have a decent arcade room at front. We ordered a 10 wings plate and two family platters for four ppl, and wouldn’t able to finish it all. Burnt end is my fav, very crispy and savory, and it tastes better without bbq sauce. Brisket is a bit dry for me, and their onion ring&corn bread muffins were pretty good too. They also offer that huge burger challenges, if u finished the burger in 15mins, u could get that for free, but if not, they have a hall of shame for ur photo .

Food was excellent and service was great. We ordered several different items and everything was hot and tasted great. I love fried pickles and they were very good. Drinks were quickly refilled, she returned a lot to inquire if the food was good, could she get us anything else, and kept the refills coming before we had to ask. We will return to this Jethro’s in Ames.

The establishment was nice. It has a built in game room with pool and a few arcades that can be paid for over your phone. The dining area was spacious the staff were all really nice. The only reason I give it 4 of 5 stars is because while I thought the BBQ meat was good it was lacking in flavorful sauce, honestly what is BBQ without the sauce. Oh… and in my humble opinion the fried pickles needed seasoning.

Ribs could have been a bit more tender but were good. Sticky, peppery sauce on the ribs is fantastic!!! The boneless wings are amazing as well!! Awesome spin on boneless wings!! Service was fantastic!! Played a few games of pool also. Really great environment!!!

Food I can’t say alot on because I only ordered 2 things. The onion rings were Amazing but the BBQ Brisket would have been better with the BBQ sauce that they put on the burnt ends sandwich. That’s just my prefered taste. Food was good though. Burnt ends were tuff and a bit dry but the Brisket was tender
