Really enjoyed brunch here! Australian culture & vibes throughout the restaurant and the food. Favorites were the Mushroom toast and the brioche French toast. Quality ingredients & good flavors! The avocado toast looked good too. Our server was great recommending dishes and checking the table frequently. Look forward to trying more dishes. Outdoor seating and reservations available too.

Pretty tightly packed space inside, booking is a good idea. The menu looks the goods and halloumi chips certainly were. The asparagus benedict is relatively different but for me was let down by the bread and uninteresting and unnecessary side “salad”. I’d return to try dinner.

Want an Australian take on food and drink? This place has it. Great vibes, clean restaurant, GREAT food, decent service all wrapped up in one! The kangaroo kabobs were delightful and the blistered Brussels sprouts were the favorite! Service was on the slower end, but the place was busy. The cocktails were averaging $12-15 per drink. Definitely want to come back for more. Those salads looked impressive.

Isla & Co has an unique atmosphere with outdoors seating available. We had the Brioche French Toast and Spicy Prawns Vodka Rigatoni. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The service was top-tier. Highly recommended for brunch in Bishop Arts!

Get ready for a lot of flavor, from down under! Some reviews, I write; others float from my fingers; because the experience was that wonderful. Welcome to Isla & Co. the S is silent so pronounced Ila. The European Bistro Design of Isla & Co. complement their intimate, yet casual ambiance, and diverse clientele. Although their service will make you feel like the star, for me it’s easily Isla & Co.’s Executive Chef, Malik Cantu; a Dallas native, whose training, and skills have landed him in some of the best kitchens in the city. His menu and cuisine are described as refined simplicity; for this diner however the simplicity is only in the ease of ordering, definitely not in the flavor of the dishes. From traditional Australian rubbed kangaroo, to fusion favorites, and some of the best garnished, and seasoned North Atlantic Oysters, and Charred Octopus I’ve ever experienced, you’ll enjoy one culinary explosion after another with every bite. No worries if you’re vegan, vegetarian or have the kids along, there’s something for everyone; even burgers, and pastas. Make sure you leave belly space for dessert! My Creme Brûlée, and Espresso were the perfect ending. Important shares; don’t let the cozy size of the bar fool you, their craft cocktails, and wine selections keep up with the big boys, and are attended superbly, by the bartender and management. A huge plus in bustling BIshop Arts, are Isla & Co.’s private parking lot, and outdoor seating. I didn’t leave without the charming Sous Chef, JC, sharing they have happy hour daily from 3-6 pm, Wednesdays, are half off bottles of wines, and they offer an amazing brunch on both Saturday and Sunday with extended hours from 9-3pm. I hope to enjoy my next Isla & Co. experience seated next to you!

Tried Isla & Co for the first time today (Sunday) for lunch. There are several locations in other cities, including Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The theme is Australian, but it is more a nod to Australia than trying too hard. For example, the menu says “WTF is Australian food?” Somewhere on the menu Kangaroo is mentioned at mp (market price), coming soon, but it is just another way to question what Americans think Australian food is, since I doubt it is coming ever. I tasted the fish & chips and I had the chicken sandy. Fish and chips were excellent, with a nice crispy and firm, fresh fish. The fries are a little thicker than McDonald’s size and they were great – right out of the fryer with some very good oil. The chicken sandy was on fresh, thick sourdough bread, with pesto, chicken and cheese. I ate half and brought the other half home. I also had a cappuccino. It was milky and tasted more like a latte than a cappuccino, but I enjoyed it. The vibe in the restaurant was great. Tables inside and outside. Casual and relaxing next to Dude, Sweet Chocolate. Highly recommended. I’ll be back soon.

Came for their Christmas in July event and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warmest smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. We had such a blast! The menu featured an array of dishes, and each one was a true culinary masterpiece from Chef Malik, especially the oysters, sausage rolls and kangaroo! The service was impeccable too, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were passionate about their craft, offering excellent recommendations and perfectly paired drinks from their impressive cocktail and wine selection. Highly recommend for any occasion!
