Hungry Howie’s, celebrating 50 years, was founded by Jim Hearn in 1973 when he bought a Michigan hamburger shop. Today, there are nearly 600 locations in the US. Jim’s recipe for success was simple: fresh ingredients, free flavoring on every pizza crust, and affordability. Enjoy your meal with over 50 years of care behind it!
My wife and I have been coming to this place for years. We are greeted by Ms. Brooke every time we walk in the door. She is sweet and friendly, which makes you feel at home. Her superior customer service is what makes us come back throughout the year. This is our favorite place to eat for a quick meal. The food is always good! Thank you, Brooke, for always making us feel at home and asking how our family is doing! I tell everyone I know to stop by when they are visiting the Ellenton Outlet.
The buffet here was pretty good well worth the money , especially if you have picky children they can always find something they like
Great verity of food, different topping pizza, great salad bar. Good service, all you can eat at a good price point. Plenty of games for the kiddies.
It has been over 20 years since I last visited a Hungry Howies. But today we decided to give it a shot and I was really impressed! Pizza was decent, service was great, salad bar was tasty, everything was clean, and it brought back some fun memories of eating there as a kid.
After the Sweet Tomatoes Closure in Florida,we tried this Restaurant seeming like Souplantation…
First time trying this pizza, it was so good. I loved the cheese and the flavor of the pizza. Very good food, the salad looks good, the place looks clean to dine in. They have good marinara sauce I don’t get good marinara all the time this was actually good. Will order again.
My family and I use to go frequently to this Hungry Howie’s. Unfortunately we moved away a few years ago. When I’m in town I like to go to Hungry Howie’s. We stopped in for dinner and Brooke served us. I got a thin crust taco pizza with black olives for the buffet. Brooke even asked if I wanted the olives cooked on the pizza or put on with the lettuce after it was cooked. Brooke has very good customer service. She looked familiar to me and I asked her how long she has worked there. Come to find out she use to serve our family when my kids were toddlers!!! They need to make Brooke general manager!! She is an asset to this Hungry Howie’s. Pizza was hot. Delicious, and the varieties were plentiful. Highly recommend eating here and ask for Brooke!!!

Nice place to go for a quick bite. I like that their pizza bar buffet is well stocked with tons of options. They also have Salad and Soups. Depending on how much you and your family eat it may be more thrifty to just order individual pizzas and drinks. My 5 year old & his 2 cousins ate basically 3 pieces of pizza between the three of them. So the $9 per each kid for the all you can eat would have been better spent on a small pizza that we could have taken home. They also have some fun arcade games for the kids. It would be cool if they had a few more arcade video game options and a few less claw games.
Wow…absolutely love the buffet. Not all locations have the buffet. Pizza was great…the chocolate pizza and apple pizza for dessert…mouth watering!!
Loved this place!!! Not like ur average Hungry Howie’s. U can order pizzas for them to put on the buffet. They have a salad bar, soup, dessert pizza… Everything!!!!
