Service was very slow. We were in the restaurant with 2 other tables and the waitress did not come take our order for over 20 minutes. The California Benedict came with very little avocado or tomato. Overall, I would not recommend.

A friend told my fiancé and I that this place is better than our usual breakfast spot. I was not impressed. The food here is ridiculously overpriced and honestly is very bland tasting.

The home fries had no flavor. I asked for light toast it was more like untoasted bread.

Was overcharged for breakfasts $53.00 for 2 people. Did not inform us of specials. Charged $ 10.95 for sausages. Online menu says $3.00. Would not recommend this restaurant. We complained and nothing was done about it. Waitress said you could have gotten a special breakfast for $17.95 after we paid. Not acceptable.

First of all, it was easy to find and easy, adequate parking. We walked in and the place just smelled good. We were greeted by very polite waitreses and we chose a table. 11:30 a.m. and still could order breakfast.Great. Scrambled eggs, rye toast, bacon, ham, potatoes. We kept it simple being our first time here. Well, it came out surprisingly fast even though there were people at tables around us and more at the counter. Waitress offered all the fixings; jelly, condiments etc. The eggs were cooked properly (I hate crunchy brown bits or soggy) just good fluffy scrambled eggs. The bacon was thick and crispy (I hate fatty rubbery), ham was cooked nicely had a small fatty edge. Potatoes were delicious! So many crispy edges and seasoned well. I just wish they pushed the homemade bread. I saw the small sign after. I would’ve paid the extra charge to taste their bread. Some reviews said it was too expensive. Honestly that is such a personal preference. For the two of us, not having to cook, dirty pans and clean up, what they charge is totally worth it. I have a hard time achieving crispy homefries like that. Plus I really liked the staff and the comfortable atmosphere. Will gladly have a late breakfast here again when passing through. Thank you Hotcakes. Ps. I am regret that I didn’t think to take pics. It was eaten too soon!

First time at this family restaurant and my family and I didn’t get to eat. We were a family of 11 and patiently waited to be seated. Our table was only set for 9. We helped the waitress add an extra table with the chairs. Our family has kids and the waitress apparently didn’t have the patience for us to get everyone settled before ordering . I understand a big party can feel overwhelming to serve but it’s a “family restaurant” and we choose a family owned restaurant instead of a big corporation restaurant to help small businesses stay and keep the tradition going. Sadly I won’t return here or recommend it. It was a really bad first impression specially for us since we are from out of state. I didn’t feel welcome.

My family just ate here and we had a wonderful time! The staff was great (we loved Jamie!), and the food was absolutely delicious and super affordable! Will definitely be back soon!

We went here today to give them a try. My son and I ordered omelette with double extra cheese. When we left I told them do not charge fir the extra cheese on our omelettes. She marched over to the cook which claims he put in extra cheese. I told the waitress extra cheese in it and on top of the omelette. She came back and argued with me and I told her I’m not gonna argue with you but I got 1 piece of cheese and so did my son. The nerve of her arguing with me. I go to Pepper pot in Southington all the time and order my omelette the same way, never had had problem. I was very disappointed and she continued to argue ,I walked out and she told my sister well next time we will give her extra cheese. Their prices are crazy 4 of us 84.00. I flat out told her I’m not gonna argue with you ,but I ate the omelette. We got seated and served and forgot about. Do yourself a favor try Pepper Pot in Southington Ct. They are great . I will Never go back there!!!!
