The homemade corned beef hash is outstanding. Their Eggs Irish is consistently the best I’ve ever had. Great specials all of the time, cocktail options, gluten free options, wonderful staff, all in a charming, hidden gem of a diner.

The service was amazing despite the fact that we unknowingly arrived about 30 minutes before closing. The food was great. We had caesar salad (croutons looked homemade and fresh) chicken tenders and fries (dipping sauce tasted homemade and fresh) and a tuna roll up with lettuce and tomato that was fantastic. The waitress was friendly and the service was fast. The diner appeared to be very very clean and was being cleaned while we were there as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

Adorable old school diner with delicious food and expeditious service. Gluten free toast and English muffins available but probably not safe for celiacs. The coffee was subpar though.

I ordered the hollandaise Irish plate and the only thing I can say is that it got worse the more bites I took. The sauce tasted like watery mayonnaise and the corn beef was tasteless. Definitely not a place I will spend money at again

Popped in had a chicken sandwich with fries. People were friendly place was full with people waiting. Food was good the price wasn’t bad. Over all a good experience. I’ll be going back.

Will not be going back here. I don’t know if there has been an ownership change but I have been going here on average 2 to 3 times a quarter. Stopped in this morning. The coffee cups are very small, barely 6 ounces, the waitress even made a joke about the size. The omletts are not 3 egg like most all other places, and they don’t give you 2 pieces of toast with the order, only one piece. Prices are up and they never asked anyone the time I was sitting there if they wanted their coffee refilled. Over priced, small portions, poor service.

The Hometown Diner gets 5 stars for a diner that is. It is sparkling clean, the waitstaff is very friendly, the service is quick, and they do their best with modifications, such as no dairy. I am not a big diner fan and yet the Hometown Diner exceeded my expectations of a diner.
