We’ve eaten at this location about a dozen times over the last 5 years. We have recently started eating here on an almost weekly basis as a family. Having been to at least a half dozen other locations in the past, I can state with confidence, that this location is one of the best. The facilities are clean, the food is good, and the staff are both friendly and hard working. Now I’m not going to argue that the food is going to win any awards, but it’s really quite good. The steak in particular surprised me with it juiciness and flavor.

Do not eat here. I ate last night, the food was cold and undercooked and overcooked some items. I voiced my concerns to the manager and he gave me a voucher to come back in. I got sick last night, called today the manager on duty said to call back later for another manager. Then offered me another free meal. Apparently they are not listening I cannot eat anything cause i ate their food last night. Absolutely ridiculous. Even the 11 year old boy I was with who eats EVERYTHING said the food was no good. I love Hometown Buffet and have never had an issue with other locations.

My last experience was a week ago. My wife and I went in for dinner. the food that was available was good but the food trays were not kept with an ample amount of servings. we had to keep going back to get what we wanted and finally had to ask for certain items. The restaurant was not that busy that would cause them to run out of certain things and it was about 6:30 pm. not late. Sample items were Cesar salad, corn, green beans pulled pork, roast beef and gravy just to name a few.

I must say, after not eating here for many years, my recent visit with this buffet was truly a step up. I stopped going because the food in my opinion was was going from OK to terrible. Now the food was absolutely delicious with quite a variety to choose from. Keep up the good work!

we’ve been visiting HTB for years, specially the one in Santee, quality comparing with prices is fear enough, and the service is quite good. the environment after remodeling is warming and peaceful. we’ll keep visiting it for many times to come.

Food is not very good. Hadn’t been here for years, but we had a coupon so we gave it a try. The place was a ghost town. Since we ate here, the company has closed most of its locations in San Diego, including this one.
