Compared to the original in Taunton, this one is very much the same restaurant albeit the atmosphere feels less like a bar/pub. Lighting is better. There is some nice outdoor seating areas. Food is good, same as in Taunton. Serving staff is friendly. Their buffalo sauce is damn near perfect. Highly recommended for pub food but also their other dishes such as stir fry or pasta.

Way too many strikes at Home Plate to warrant a second chance. Before we even sat down the 25 minute quote for a wait was nearly 40 as we saw 3 other parties being sat before our party of three despite them coming in and talking to the hostesses after us. It seemed they wanted to sit the large parties where they could make room instead of honoring their quote times and staying in order of first come first serve. One party was sat imediatly because their daughter works there which is understandable, but the large parties being sat first was insulting and rude.

Home plate is an excellent local restaurant that serves quality food and huge portions. Their chicken parm is one of my favorites and they also have a great variety from Pizza to subs to wraps to full entrees. Come summer time their lobster roll is hard to beat filled with chunks of fresh lobster overflowing. Their Pizza could rival any pizza shop around and the restaurant is clean and uniquely decorated with an actual green monster inside from Fenway Park.

I ordered the North End pizza to go. Best pizza ever!!! Mounds of ricotta, fresh basil, delicious marinara, sausage on perfectly cooked crust!!! My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch & couldn’t stop raving about how great this pizza was!!! Highly recommend Home Plate!!! Thanks Bob and thank you to your chefs!!!

We did the curbside pickup. This was the first time we ordered from this restaurant. I was surprised and happy to see that the burger and the grilled chicken sandwich was deconstructed. This kept the bun fresh and kept the lettuce from wilting. The chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. The vegetables were all fresh. The burger was large and also nice and juicy. We got more fries than we were able to eat. The order was ready when expected and the person that brought out the order was very nice.

My family and I were so disappointed. We have been there many times before but tonite was terrible. The service was bad along with the food. The onion soups were warm and cheese was not melted. The baked haddock was undercooked. We could not get these things fixed because our waitress was missing in action. The manager came over and basically said it was the cooks fault. Not very accommodating. Think I am all set with this place for now.

Fabulous food, drinks and service. We tried the signature cocktails, I loved the martini. We enjoyed our meal so much we even bought an order to go for the gentleman who recommended the place to us! The atmosphere was great and they adhered to Covid guidelines meticulously. I highly recommend Home Plate!

A great lunch after playing golf up the street.I had a gourmet burger and sweet potato fries that was to die for. Huge burgers with outrageous combinations of ingredients. Great beer selection and super service. I am so glad that I stopped there after golf. I will now make it a habit.
