First time here. Will say food is good, but takes a while to cook. Also the owner holds the more aggressive personality at times, but can be cheerful too. (Less likely as very busy) Famous people have visited and if things you want they ate, its marked on menu. Will say service was slow. Been to other fresh cooking locations but never this slow. Regardless the food was indeed tasty, though speed was slower then I expected.

This restaurant is now on my list of favorites. My wife suggested we try it. She read that Anthony Bourdain had eaten there and loved it. We both agree that this place is excellent and highly recommend it. The chef came out to see if we needed any help with the menu and offered suggestions. He also brought us a complementary fried vegetable dish that was delicious. I chose an Indian-Mexican fusion quesadilla and it was so good! My wife ordered a chick peas – potato dish that had a Bourdain recommendation. She loved it. We will definitely go back. Great dining experience.

We discovered this place off of the TV show with Andrew Zimmern. I’m so glad I took notes. We visited this place for lunch, I got the lunch combo, which had a couple of types of curry, some rice and a couple of other side dishes. The Currys were delicious. My favorite was the red lamb curry. On Andrew Zimmern he featured the fried chicken. Who would think to get fried chicken at an Indian restaurant, but let me tell you this is some of the best fried chicken you’ll ever get. They cut up a whole chicken, and then they do their magic. It comes out, hot and crisp and seasoned with their special seasoning. I don’t know when I’ve had better. The servers were very attentive and the atmosphere was nice. I don’t know when I’ve had better overall Indian food anywhere. Next time we are back through Houston we look forward to coming back again.

We did takeout at this horrific restaurant about 3 weeks ago. First and foremost, I’m Indian and I’ve been in Houston for decades so I’ve tried plenty of Indian restaurants in Houston and other cities. This place is one of the worst Indian restaurants I’ve ever tried. I’m not sure how much this owner paid Anthony Bourdain to give them a glowing review……quick story: so I went to pick the food and the owner was the one at the checkout and he asked me to tip! Mind you this is my first time trying this place! I asked him why would I tip when I’ve never tried this place and he said the tip is for the people that packed the takeout food!! I can understand if we had dined in at the restaurant! And he was so rude! Stay away from Himalaya!!

Was recommended by our cousin. We so happy that we when to eat here. The food was awesome. We had the garlic naan, beef, and fried chicken. Wow we hit with such flavor that we don’t normally get and it was great. Love Houston that we can get such a verity of food from all over. Would recommend and will be going back to this place.

Been there 2 times, It was super packed by Caucasian customers and you would mostly find non Indian Crowd… and in my experience here are the reasons.. Indian People know the right taste and prefer not to go there, Despite being a Pakistani himself, Owner was Racist only attending to Non Asians with a smile and frowns and rude behavior for the Indian community. and he is famous for overselling to the Caucasian community.
