Love it! The atmosphere is very down home and staff super nice! Food is delicious/you can tell it’s made from scratch! Prices are awesome too! I got all of this for under $16

The food is absolutely wonderful, and the staff was very attentive to me and my family whenever we first went there. I really like their biscuits, they are soft and flakey! 🙂

Our omelets were overcooked to the point of the eggs being crispy, the hash browns were preformed potato squares you can buy in any Walmart and the toast comes in unbuttered and no one tells you that in advance, so by the time you realize it, it’s too cold to melt the margarine. NOT a fan. This is like no other home cooking restaurant I have eaten in before, and that’s no compliment. The coffee was good, and our waitress was fine.

I am NEVER disappointed when I come here. This is my go-to for down to earth, at-home style cuisine. They have the BEST biscuit and gravy in town. The only other place I will get one is homemade at my house. This little hole in the wall place is a definitely need to visit if in the Jacksonville area.

I was getting an oil change and a brake job at the Subaru dealership and needed to walk somewhere for breakfast on MLK day. Helen’s was open and close so I decided to check them out. Waitresses were friendly and you can seat yourself (good if you’re looking to space out due to COVID precautions). The menu was standard American diner fare and the prices were pretty low – $5.50 for a club sandwhich with a generous portion of fries, a biscuit for 80 cents. The only thing that warranted the removal of a star was the buiscuit – they brought out the flattest biscuit I have ever seen. I had to double check the calendar to make sure that it wasn’t Passover and that I hadn’t gotten some unleavened bread. I expected something else in the south. It tasted OK but be forewarned! I paid $3.50 for the soup of the day, a big bowl of hearty vegetable soup with beef.

Our new favorite diner for breakfast when we’re in town. Simple family owned restaurant with great food! Lots of options. Introduced my son to it this trip and he loved it! Staff was super friendly!

Glad we stopped and had breakfast here. Our waitress deserved a million dollars with her smile/attitude. There were many items on the menu. The orange juice comes in small containers, cute. Food was good and we will be returning. Coffee:Great. We appreciate your Kitchen. Thank you.
