Reservations are not required, but you may be turned away if you don’t have one as there’s very limited seating. The food was pretty good and the restaurant was very nice inside. Definitely plan to spend quite a bit. A dinner for two cost almost $100.

This place was fantastic. The whole family came here during vacation and we ate like kings! Huge portions of delicious food and a cute and welcoming German styled building and interior. Make sure to get a reservation as it’s a cozy interior. Highly recommend the Berlin style curry, the cream puffs, the potato pancakes with beer cheese and bacon, and of course a liter of beer. Our waitress was fantastic (Hannah I think, not Carly) and the service was great! Highly recommend!!!

Words truly can’t explain Heidelberg Inn Restaurant, best thing I can say is go and experience this truly authentic delicious establishment. The service and food is top notch and far exceeded all expectations I could’ve possibly had. I can’t wait to take my family back up to Lake George and enjoy some food here again!

In all fairness my husbands from Germany and I grew up in German household, so I guess their take a German cooking is way differnt then what we grew up eating.. nothing authentic at all. , the German potato salad had way to much vinegar and my fish dinner was haddock but it was frozen product and deep fried, very disappointing… the waiter was fine service great but for the price we paid it wasn’t worth it, wont go back. In answer to owner I’m not from Germany my husband is and I like fish so what’s weird about that??? so ordered it. it was frozen. The potato salad was gross sorry .

The food and service was excellent. Everything we had tonight was delicious. I had the German Tour and really enjoyed the sauerbraten! I would easily order it again.

The food was amazing, highly recommend. However I ordered the smallest size lager and was charged $15. I’ve never been charged $15 for a beer in my life.

For a plate that costs over $30, the braised beef was incredibly over cooked and dry. It was to the point that it was hard to eat. When my son called to tell them about it, the tried to blame him. The didn’t even offer a replacement if we bright it back which we would have been happy to do. Instead we threw it away. These folks don’t care about what they serve or their customers and it shows. I wouldn’t eat here again if it was free.

Great food, authentic flavors. Service was excellent, and the decor is very German. Heads up, it’s a touch pricy.

Excellent venue for German food. Portions are very generous, and the authentic flavors shine. Getting a liter of real German beer is nice, too!

Do you want authentic German food? Here is the spot the only one I know of for many many miles. The owner and proprietor pours his heart and soul into this place making it work and keeping it true to the German cuisine and atmosphere of a German – American restaurant
