A group of men from our church visited this unique place on August the 16th. It was our first visit. The BBQ sandwich was fantastic and the fries were great. There was a continuous long line to order food. This is a small eatery in a small town but would be A+ in any city no matter the size. Mr. Heard and his workers had a tremendous attitude and were very proficient in their job. Will definitely return. Absolutely A+

Easily the best ribs in the state. Fuss all you want, that’s just how it is. These folks have it figured out. The BBQ sauce on the side was very tasty, but the ribs didn’t need it. Perfectly seasoned, perfect texture, amazing!

Ate here yesterday, had the pulled pork loaded fries, BLT and coleslaw. Absolutely the best barbecue I have had in a good while and the BLT was off. the. chain. The staff are so friendly, made us feel so welcome. I live at least 25-30 miles away from them, but will definitely make the trip to eat here! I highly recommend.

Good bbq is good to come by, but not at Heards. Two people at the table chose the pork sandwiches and I chose the smoked chicken sandwich. All were proclaimed delicious. We drove 1.25 hrs to get there and will do it again. Hopefully, soon.

Heard’s is near the top of my list for pulled pork sandwiches in the state of Alabama. Get the spicy sauce. Thank me later. The man knows his ribs as well. Grilled for a few hours, they have a chew that’s near-perfect. They’re not long-smoked and they needn’t be. Very simple, very delicious. If you are a true BBQ lover, a drive to Maplesville is mandatory. It’s that good. Get there early!

I’m from Birmingham although the food was tasty my order wasn’t correct and I wasn’t driving an hour to get it fixed but it was still good. I ordered the loaded chicken fries but got BBQ pork fries and didn’t get my corn casserole but oh well there just might be a next time. The lemonade/ tropical punch is good also
