Nostalgic vibe that I loved, but… super dirty. Whole place smelled like mold. Food was so bad. I took a couple of bites but not even ketchup could make the food edible. Disappointed because old vibey diners are my favorite and this place was just, such a disappointment.

Enjoyed the “old time” vibe of Harry’s. My breakfast was very good, average egg, ham and hash browns, but the biscuits and gravy were excellent. I asked for toast and got homemade, a light wheat style that was very good.

It felt like going back in time to those mom&pops cafe. Friendly staff, family environment. My breakfast was great, very descent amount of food and the coconut pie so delicious. Price very reasonable. There’s a variety of pies, home made cookies and the cinnamon rolls that looks so yummi. The waiting and serving time was pretty fast. If you are passing through Downtown Pittsburg, KS between 6AM and before 2:00PM you need to stop by and at least try a cinnamon roll.

Unfortunate experience at Harry’s Cafe this morning (21 May 2023). As we were waiting to order, I suddenly hear water hitting a flat surface. Looking around I see what appears to be water leaking thru the ceiling hitting a table a few feet away. Of course I jumped up to tell the cook and a waitress. The waitress responds with “yeah, it’s probably the washing machine upstairs”. This response sorta shocked me as it implies a known, ongoing issue with water leaking through the floor. Because my party was starting to get splattered with water, we quickly exited and ate breakfast somewhere else.

Service was spectacular! Set in an old fashioned diner style that could possibly be the same bar counters from the older photo above the old fashioned cinnamon rolls. Old fashioned pie display case, clean and very reasonably priced menu. The owners daughter was a spectacular waitress and on top of everything. Thank you so much. We will be back for sure!

I haven’t been to Harry’s in a few years and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my breakfast. For starters, it was clean, the service was great and the food better than I remember! If you haven’t been before, or it’s been a while, maybe it’s time to give Harry’s another go! Between the homemade bread they use for toast, homemade cinnamon rolls, large omelets, gorgeous pies, I think you’ll find something delicious to eat!
