We’ve been here several times now and gotten to try a little bit of everything. As is the case at their sister restaurant Cypress Hall, the cocktails are fantastic. We are also big fans of the fritto misto and accompanying lemon aioli.

This would have been a 5 star rating had it not been for the overly salted food, that would have otherwise been excellent. It just over shadowed the cuisine, and totally over powered everything that we ordered. You can always add it to your dish, but you cannot take it away. The ambiance, the staff, the quality of the food absolutely fantastic. The food would stand out on it’s own without the addition of the amount of salt that was in it and would have been 5 star.

I made it a point to stop in today to see if Harry’s was still as good as it was on my first two visits. I’m happy to say that it continues to be a great spot for a casual meal with an upscale feel. The entire service staff stays attentive, present, and friendly. Whether inside or outside, the dining atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. My only knock on this visit is the chicken sandwich was reduced to half the size as the one I enjoyed on my first visit. The bun appears to have been downsized, as has the chicken portion. It was not a large sandwich to begin with, which I why I order it. But, today it was slider size. I hope it’s just an anomaly. Otherwise, the menu items are consistently good. Highly recommend!

So enjoyed my first experience at Harry’s Blind Tiger. We usually eat at Cypress Hall, but I’m so happy we gave Harry’s a try. We will definitely go back. The drinks were ON POINT – an old fashioned with a smoky mezcal twist – sign me up! You have to try the fried burrata – it’s like and adult mozzarella stick. DELICIOUS. I had the Casarecce – an original take on rigatoni with broccoli and sausage. The fresh fennel put it over the top. The rigatoni with bolognese was my hubs dish, and I have to say – bolognese should always be made with short ribs! Super happy with our experience at Harry’s Blind Tiger and can’t wait to go back.

Its a really solid place! The pizzas are about as hand made as you’ll ever get here in NC. They make their own pizza dough and they even make their own sausage. There was a busser named JJ that was really good and kind and well spoken about how much he loved working here as well. Pizza is 5 stars, but I also had the bolognese, which had great flavor, but the pasta was over cooked and I’m kind of a stickler about that. Food prices were fair, but drinks were a bit pricey, buttttttt they did have a more extensive beer menu and home made drinks on the menu. It was a great experience and I will definitely go back again

Great speakeasy feel. Outdoor patio with bar and seating along with an inside dining area. Ashley hit it out of the park again. Amazing food, small plates designed to be shared. Attentive service without being intrusive. Reasonable prices. A fantastic addition to downtown New Bern.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer, the last time we were at Harry’s the food was overly salty, especially the carbonara which had country ham and cheese in it to begin with. Then I tasted my husband’s pizza and it was also very salty. We have been twice before and loved it, and are long time fans of sister restaurant Cypress Hall. It just seemed that the chef that night (it was a Sunday) wanted to add more salt to dishes that didn’t need it. Hope this message finds Harry’s still fun, great bar and cocktails, best outdoor restaurant in New Bern, best service, best bartenders. Just a little less salt, please?

Unfortunately I ordered a pizza vongole tonight. It was a big disappointment. Having lived in Europe for many years I was anticipating a nice thin crust pizza with plenty of fresh clams. The way a true Italian restaurant would prepare it. What I got was a tough chewy crust with a sprinkle of parmesan, way too much garlic, and maybe 4 noticeable clams – on 18 inches of bread. That was it. For $30 dollars- totally not worth it. Will not eat here again.

Everything was fantastic— the food, atmosphere, staff, absolute perfection. We ordered SO MUCH off the menu to share among our table & every dish was fantastic, perfectly seasoned (not sure what kind of palette the other reviewer has, but nothing was over salted). So happy to have Harry’s downtown and we will absolutely go back!
