I arrived after their kitchen was closed, and this young lady went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get something to eat. She was very happy, friendly and genuine. If I could give more than 5 stars based on her personality, I absolutely would. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name, she’s a brunette and mis 20’s, but she’s A number 1 in my book! Thank you so much for everything and if I’m ever in the area, I will be back!

Good choice in Kalona for pub style burgers, hot sandwiches, and dinners. Spirits and domestic beers are available. My favorites are the bacon cheese burger or grilled pork tenderloin with a side of cottage fries. Prices and food are very good. Portions are generous. You will not go away hungry.

Stopped here for a few drinks while in Kalona. The place was not obviously marked as a bar but the drinks were strong and good. Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely stop her again if I’m ever in the area.

The food is the only decent thing about this place. The kitchen opens whenever they feel like it – different time every time you call. Drove from Washington to Kalona to pick up our order and was told they were out of part of the order.

I’m a big fan of their Asian Sriracha wings and they have Hamm’s on tap. They are cash only but have an atm. It’s good bar food and last I knew they stay open till close every night but I wished the kitchen didn’t close at 10.

Went there a few weeks ago to play some pool, when we arrived we sat at a table and waited for the waitress to come take our order. All we ordered was water, and a basket of cheese balls. Took about 30 minutes for any of it to come to our table, the basket had hardly any cheese balls. Maybe 15 tiny cheese balls. Never could get our waters refilled. The waitress was very rude and the bar was kind of smokey and dirty.

They are open from 3-12 or later Mondays -Thursdays Open 3pm on Friday’s until 2am Open at noon on Saturday’s. Until two am on weekends. Closed on Sunday’s. Breaded tenderloins are awesome! Ribeyes are awesome. You get your money’s worth. Ribeye all the way!
