Wow, we were impressed. We were visiting Douglas and our hosts took us here as it is supposed to be the best authentic Mexican food in the city. No arguments from us. Everything was amazing, fresh, and so reasonable in price as opposed to Calif prices. Don’t miss it if you’re passing through. Note: they don’t serve alcohol.

What a happy surprise in remote Douglas, Arizona! We had a very good, authentic Mexican meal for quite a reasonable price. Several things stood out about this local fave. The service was exceptional. Our waitress (maybe the owner?) was upbeat and efficient. She handled a table of 8 and a rapidly filling restaurant by herself, multi-tasking the way wait people used to. The sit-down restaurant was clean and bright, cheerful. Nice bathroom. The food was good. Tacos were local-style, Dorado, where the corn tortilla is fried after the taco is assembled. Yum! Great refried beans. We had leftovers. Douglas itself is a strangely cool place just waiting to eventually be discovered, way off the beaten track, half an hour from hippy/hipster Bisbee where we live. Douglas is on the border of Mexican city Agua Prieta, largely Hispanic and family-oriented. Gorgeous, gorgeous early 20th century houses, and a retro downtown. We’ll be back to La Fiesta.

I ate fajitas and they were bland…the waitress brought pico de Gallo that was freshly made for me, which wasn’t on the menu… Changed everything for me… I will try it again!

The food was delicious & at a great price, my only regret was not ordering an extra plate to go for lunch the next day.

This was the 1st time I bought food from this restaurant, we decided to order tacos to go. I tied calling in my order and they never picked up the phone. When I got there it took 20 minutes to get my order taken and was told it would be 30 mins. I placed the order and came back 30 mins later and it was another 20 min wait before I was acknowledged. I paid for the order and the waitress went back to tell the kitchen staff I was there for my order. The door to the kitchen was open and that is when I saw they started making my order. So what was the 30 min for? It was almost 90 minutes when I finally got home and started eating.
