Outstanding. There’s a reason why H8 BBQ gets such high marks. This was a first time eating here, stopping by for a late lunch on the way back to San Antonio. Got the daily sandwich special and had them do a mix of chopped jalapeno sausage and brisket on the jalapeno bun with spicy sauce. Heat level was perfect and not over the top at all. Meat was superb. And the free pinto beans are a nice touch that a few other good BBQ places do as well. Next time passing through we’ll definitely plan to stop again!

Great place for lunch, they offer valet service from the nearby airfield, which is an awesome perk. Servings are hearty, you order your meat, then proceed inside to get side dishes and additions. Brisket was melt in your mouth and the pulled pork was divine! Their house BBQ sauce is the perfect combo of sweet and smoky, and the patio is right off the smoker, so the whole place smells like divine BBQ heaven. Fantastic stop for an afternoon!

Pretty solid Texas-style cue. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of room for large groups. Often see a lot of motorcycles there. Next time I’m trying a wood-fired ribeye steak. Killer pork chops!

First time at this bbq joint. Delicious food, friendly staff, and best thing….there is parking for my semi right off the road. Come to stephanville quite often and will definitely make more stops here!!! Love the outside patio to eat

Wife and i have eaten here before years ago and thankfully we were able to stop again while traveling through. You can smell the smoked meats while pulling in and the aroma is luring as if I was a carnivore searching for dinner lol.

Amazing barbecue! Even as you’re getting out of your car at Hard 8 you can smell the delicious aroma of smoked meats. There are so many great options. We tried chicken, brisket, the jalapeno sausage, poppers, fries, macaroni and cheese, beans, and corn. Everything was delicious, but I’d especially recommend the jalapeno sausage because of the great flavor. There is plenty of seating and it was really family friendly. They even have a sign posted with instructions for first-timers. Thanks Hard 8!
