Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

The food was great! The appetizer crab balls (I forgot what they were called exactly) were soooo good!! We also got drinks but I was disappointed with mine, it was wayyyy too tart, his was fantastic though, and they came in cute take home cups! What a great way to end our anniversary!

Just an overall unpleasant experience when you consider the cost. $55 for the picture shown and not including a drink or anything else. Corn and potatoes were not only crazy small, but tasteless. Waitress kept disappearing, crowd was so loud we had to yell.

The Food was well done, but it didn’t exceed our expectations. The Ambiance was great, and the service was efficient but not friendly or amazing. The dessert was good but rather unattractive (and it was for a birthday and didn’t have anything special). Maybe we will give it another chance.

The overall experience was great. There was a little wait to get in but that’s normal, it went faster than they said it would. The atmosphere was great. The waiters and waitresses all started to sing along with the music (YMCA) as well as the entire restaurant. I had the crab leg bucket a 1¼ lbs of legs along with corn and potatoes it was very tasty. They gave me a bib to wear. All of the food my family had was great as well. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. Great place for the family! Will be back soon!

Our server Emmie was excellent! I asked for lemons more than once and she was always accommodating. She kept our drinks filled and was a joy to visit with. The food was great here, as always. Service was great, seating was quick for us. The food was on the expensive side, but then again we’re at the landing in a touristy area, and it’s seafood, but even so, I didn’t think it was that crazy expensive considering. The environment was upbeat, comfortable and clean. We order one of the seafood pots for 2, and it came out hot and delicious. It tasted about as fresh as seafood can be for being in the middle of America. I didn’t feel there was anything super spectacular about that stood out, but there was plenty to eat. I’d probably come back, but then again, there’s so many choices, I didn’t see anything that made it stand out amongst all the wonderful places to eat.

Although the visit is always a little pricey, we always walk away happy, my girls and my wife absolutely love the place and our waitress was an absolute doll. She was attentive to our needs and bent over backwards to ensure my wife was steered clear of any gluten items. We always appreciate service like that and wish there were more servers like her! They are what make or break an entire evening when dining out. Thank you for your great service and amazing personality! We would definitely visit again!
