Fabulous Watch Party at Gumbos tonight watching the Womens NCAA Basketball Sweet Sixteen. Tennesse vs Virginia Tech. Aunties4jazz hosted as Hometown player, Jasmine Powell (#15) Tennessee played her heart out. The Gumbos staff was exceptional. Joseph and Maddy served up the perfect blend of accommodation and CUSTOMER SERVICE. We couldn’t have ask for anything better. Food was delicious and drinks were flowing. Kudos to Gumbos. Go check them out!

WORST JAMBALAYA IVE EVER EATEN…..NOW LETS TAKE IT FROM THE TOP. 1ST TIME GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT AND THE SERVER BOUGHT US DRINKS AND FORGOT WE WERE THERE. MY WIFE HAD TO GO FIND HER THEN PLACE OUR ORDER. THE JAMBALAYA TASTED LIKE CELERY AND BOXED RICE MIX, THE CUBANO IF THATS WHAT U WANNA CALL IT, HAD JERKEY AND NO HAM. THIS WAS THE WORST FOOD IVE EATEN IN 2023, IVE EATEN MEALS OUT OF THE TRASH THAT TASTE BETTER. OVERALL THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS DINING EXPERIENCE WAS THE FREE MINT U GET AFTER YOUR MEAL. IF I HAD TO RATE THE FOOD ID GIVE IT A STRONG .1 OUT OF TEN.

Lovely lady at the counter gave my boyfriend and I a moment to look at the menu and walk around the restaurant, as it was our first time! I mean from top to bottom, this place has something neat to look at. Yes I have been to New Orleans and yes it totally gives those vibes! It is huge in there too. I felt so comfortable and relaxed, the lighting is nice..some natural light coming in from the windows as well. The food all sounds amazing, only could choose two things though. Settled on the catfish fingers and the cajun pasta with sausage and shrimp. Catfish, not so great in my opinion…the fried ratio to fish was not good. The breading was not good. The sauce it comes with was not good. The pasta was like tasting my own, mmmm so perfect. Loved it. I can’t wait to come back and try more things. Thank you!!!!

I was vending at a two-day event in downtown Mount Clemens and needed a fast lunch. I happened upon Gumbo’s on my first afternoon and stepped in and spoke with the waiter about the menu. At his suggestion, I ordered the Catfish Fingers appetizer and french fries to go.

What a pleasant surprise, to find a Cajun restaurant hidden here in Mt Clemens! I was greeted immediately upon walking thru the door, I asked about “specials” and found that Gumbos had a “try three” special! So I chose gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya. Loved the Jambalaya, really liked the gumbo, red beans, not so much.

Stopped in to get a dinner with substance, because I hadn’t been feeling well or had eaten anything that day. I spent twenty-six dollars thinking it would be more than enough for me & snack for later. When I got home I was so disappointed, but starving at this point. I ate as much as I could trying not to waste my money, a piece of fish & some okra. $26.00 for dinner should at least be appealing but this was not. Never again!
