We are visiting from Florida and wanted to take family out for a meal. A search of Wesley’s restaurant in Maryland came up. Their website gives you pictures and information for their entire menu.
Walking into Wesley’s reminded me of an older style diner with outdated furnishings. That’s not a bad thing either. We were seated within 5 minutes because the hostess had stepped out. We were given a good, roomy table in a good spot. Our waitress was a very nice young lady, full of smiles and a great personality. I ordered the French onion soup and shrimp scampi. Mozzarella sticks with a slightly spicy cocktail dip. We also ordered the Chesapeake burger, with crab and French fries. Chicken Parmesan and an order of fried oysters. The food was very good. The scampi I ordered was loaded with a generous amount of large shrimp. I would have preferred chunks of fresh garlic chunks and a bit more parsley flakes. I enjoyed my meal a great deal. We didn’t leave hungry! Drinks were good, except for the raspberry ice tea. It was very weak and not so good.
The food was good, our waitress was very attentive and happy to take care of our needs. I recommend Wesley’s restaurant for fresh food and good service. Give them a try travelers. The locals recommend Wesley’s restaurant too.

We’re new to the area and Wesley’s has quickly became our go to spot. Very welcoming and has great bar food. However I’m mainly writing this review because the bartender Sarah is possibly one of the best workers I’ve ever seen. With a packed bar almost everytime we’re here she kills it and is on the spot every time. She even remembered our drink and food order after just the 2nd visit. She is truly a rockstar and deserves a medal for holding this place down

Went on Saturday 11/15/25 to see a band. The place was packed. Service was slow but, with the size of the crowd I could live with that. I ordered a prime rib rare. What I got was the most overcooked and tough piece of beef I’ve ever seen. The au jus could not reconstitute this dried out mess. Since the service was so slow and we went to see the band that could not be heard from the dining room I didn’t bother to send it back. The fact that they would send this out of the kitchen is outrageous. I wish I would have taken a picture because it tasted as bad as it looked. On the plus side the servers who were actually hostesses pressed into service were friendly and did a good job. Drinks were good and the band was great. I would never eat there again though.

I really wanted to like this place. We stopped here after going to Christiana. My grandmother got the soup of the day chicken noodle soup, it had no noodles and was so salty. It seemed like they took a leftover vegetable soup and added in dry chicken.
The crab bisque was gross. Came out cold, I had to ask her to heat it up. It was thick and flavorless, no crab meat in it. For $6 it would’ve been a steal if it was good. Tasted like they squeezed it out of a bag
I got the fish and chips because I saw them on the website, they looked delicious and hand battered. What I was served was comical. Definitely frozen fish sticks, no flavor at all. Very different from the menu photo as you’ll see, peep pictures posted.
A waste of $45, would’ve gotten better food at McDonald’s. Reminded me of a sad diner.

My family and I wanted to try somewhere local for dinner tonight and we decided on Wesley’s based off the proximity of our home and that the menu selection looked good. The hostess sat us and we picked our apps and entree selections. We put our menus down, in a pile – a sure indicator that we were ready to order and then we waited, and waited, and waited for whoever our waitress was supposed to be to take our drink order. We waited over 15 minutes and not one person even acknowledged us. What was really unacceptable was after waiting fifteen minutes another table was sat, had their drink order taken and another waitress dropped the drinks off to them. Still not even a “hello” or “I’ll be with you in a minute”. A glance our way or any acknowledgement. After 20 minutes we got up and left. Passing the hostess area the hostess that seated us and another young girl and young man were huddled talking. I will never step foot in this place again. Unacceptable – there were less than 8 tables seated and I can see why this restaurant was empty at 5pm on a Saturday.

First time here, but certainly won’t be the last. The beer was cold, the food was amazing, but what really stuck out was the service. Best we’ve ever had. I wish I remembered her name. Middle aged lady, black hair, no-nonsense type attitude. Fantastic all around.

I am from out of town, and was “encouraged” to try Wesley’s by my friend -Google. What attracked me was the extremely reasonable price of the crab legs, my absolute favorite. I got there, I was promptly greeted by staff, promptly seated, and the server was extremely helpful with recommendations, and she shared her favorites. I got my crab legs with green beans, probably the best restaurant experience I have had since 2019. If you get a chance, go- get the house salad with the house ranch, and the crab legs!

Great food/ service and music! Only bad thing was the ladies bathroom in the back where the music was is awful. Only one stall, dirty and the toliet sits extremely low to the ground.
