If you haven’t been to Gretchen’s ABS cakes and cafe why not? I’m asking myself that, I finally had the pleasure of trying some of their cake a few weeks ago and wow!! Talk about good! I’m from Florida and had a favorite bakery we would use and these cakes taste like home! The icing has a hint of almond extract in it and is fabulous! Do yourself a favor and skip the local store bakery and come here. Heather was super helpful with my cake design and they had some amazing desserts and cookies already made up to purchase! I look forward to ordering all of my future cakes here!!

Not only do I, my entire family, all my friends, neighbors, and known acquaintances support Ms. Gretchen bakery Bc she’s a small, private, and locally-business, but MOST IMPORTANTLY Bc she deserves our support as the quality of her products are hands down, second to NONE!!! Gretchen’s ABS Cakes and Cafe is the best around from taste to quality, to price and portions served; to my knowledge, Gretchen and her staff can’t be beat! Taste = A++ / Price = A++ /Presentation = A++ / Quality = A++ / Talent/Creativity/Capability = A++ / Variety = A++. What more is needed? If you’re in the Upstate, and in need of any type of bakery piece/dish, candy, etc (heck, they even have BBQ!!! in the spring and summer), go to Gretchen’s ABS Cakes and Cafe!!! Should any issue arise (which is very doubtful) sweet Ms. Gretchen and/or her kind staff of top-notch customer service, will make it right! They are the best, hands down, you will NOT be disappointed.

Gretchen’s did an excellent job with our wedding cake in April. We couldn’t have asked for a better bakery. Gretchen was so kind and happy from the very first time we met and continued to be amazing throughout the entire process. Our guests raved about how beautiful and delicious the cake was! We get all of our cakes from Gretchen’s. The folks there are extremely nice and their cakes are fantastic. We have a 3 year old and a 9 year. Through the years we’ve had some interesting cake designs and Gretchen’s has come through every time! This year they made my son a bulldozer cake and it not only looked good, but it tastes good too. We highly recommend!!

Gretchen’s is also my family’s go-to bakery for special occasion cakes and other goodies. The quality and consistency of their baked goods can’t be beat! And I’ve always found the staff there to be so courteous, friendly, and professional. You deserve more then 5 stars if I could give you a 10 I would. My wife loved her cake. She chose to eat cake over steak and lobster. The icing was great. You could sell it on its own. The cake itself was simply amazing. The staff there are extremely helpful and very pleasant to talk to. I have found my bakery for all my baked needs. Great job.
