This is the kind of place that diners strive to achieve. The food was simple yet delicious, the people were friendly, and the restaurant atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. You know it’s a good place when you see the local law enforcement eating there lol. We had the hamburger with “munchers” (crispy tater tots), and a chicken salad sandwich. And their Sweet Tea is delicious!

Amazing food, great service, and a nice quiet family atmosphere. I love coming here for dinner and getting the large bacon cheeseburger. It is probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. In fact it is in my top 3! The rest of the menu is absolutely delicious as well but I am a big time burger lover so that is what I usually get. The staff are all very kind and helpful. They also make great desserts!

Nothing but good down home food and hospitality at the Greenback Diner. This place is Cracker Barrel, Greenback style. Homey atmosphere and good food. I had the chicken salad which was great. My friend had the chicken salad sandwich which was also great. The people were great. Did I say it was great? Located on the main drag across from the depot. Check the Facebook site since hours vary through the week. Highly recommended

One of the best breakfasts we have ever had!! The biscuits and gravy are a must-have! Everything was freshly made. Highly recommend the bacon. Loved the atmosphere, and everything was clean. Everyone who works there is very friendly and welcoming. Especially Colleen. COLLEEN IS AMAZING! She fixed us up with everything we needed and more. Great experience. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Hidden gem in SE TN. Small town portions ( huge ), great flavors and just home style cooking. It’s a diner and that’s the expectation. Great food , great company , great atmosphere. If you’re waiting for people to wait on you hand over foot, that’s not what they’re about. Local good hearted people who care. It takes a little longer but the food is done with love. Tammy takes huge pride in the place and it shows. Ask the locals and try to get a seat for breakfast. Ignore bad reviews, seems those expectations aren’t from someone who appreciates the simple small town life. 30 years of cooking firehouse breakfasts…..my expectations are pretty high. Greenback Diner exceeds every time.

This is a great, classic diner. They have a big grill right in the front and you can watch them cook. The egg plate was really good. It came with plenty of gravy and a large biscuit.

On our way home to Ga, we found this place. Absolutely loved it. Cute little diner,staff was fun and great to talk to. Food was great and fresh. Very reasonable. We will definitely be back and stop in when we travel to Tennessee.

Love the Greenback Diner. My husband and I moved here a year ago and come every Saturday. The iced tea is always brewed, coffee hot and ready. Biscuits delicious, sausage gravy just right. Pancakes are fluffy and giant! But the absolute best thing in the menu??? French Toast. Not sure what the sprinkly goodness is that they add after plating, but finishes it off perfectly.
