Grandview Tavern and specifically their owner, Colleen, are wonderful. I went there with my husband and our baby for burger week. The food was all amazing and our server was so nice. However, another couple was letting their toddler run up to every table, run in front of servers, and even run outside the patio area to the parking lot. He must have visited our table a dozen times, and eventually got energetic enough that he was scaring our daughter. Unbeknownst to us, Colleen saw us interacting with him kindly and saw me being on edge trying to manage my own baby and make sure this random child didn’t get hit by a car. She ended up paying for our food and giving our baby ice cream! She was so kind and worked to make our experience good.

Terrible in everyway except the atmosphere… The patio was pretty and inviting. Too bad the service was absolutely terrible. The worst I’ve had in quite some time. Everyone acted like we were a bother, from the moment we walked in the door and asked for a table. And the food was very boring and bland. Nobody knew their front from their back, and no one could even muster a smile in any of the roles….hostess, server, manager. I would never go back or recommend this place. Take your money elsewhere. It WAS 1/2 price wine bottles on Monday, so we ordered a very nice bottle. That was the highlight, very much enjoyed the wine. But nothing else. We asked to have our check and leave without ordering entrees because it was such bad service.

This place is really nice! A little pricy but the food was excellent! I got the mushroom Swiss burger and it was very good. They have a nice outside seating and a band that plays on Friday nights. I would definitely go back.

Absolute disaster of a dinner. Came here for an anniversary and a child’s birthday. Hostess just stared at me when I walked in, no greeting at all. I had to speak first. Finally got seated. Wife has a dairy allergy and we called ahead to ask if they could accommodate that and were assured they could. Both our server and (I assume) the manager had zero clue how to accommodate it. Server knew zero about the wines on the menu. Service was super slow. Beef carpacchio was dry and flavorless. We ended up leaving before even ordering dinner, it was that bad. We’ll never go back.

A little pricy but the food was good! We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately seated. They do have a nice outdoor patio but it wasn’t open yet. I ordered the Locomotive burger with sweet potato fries and it was really good! The burger was cooked perfectly and the toppings were delicious. My daughter ordered the Three Little Pigs pizza and it was good, but nothing really made it stand out. My husband ordered the Tavern Italian and it was a basic Italian sandwich. A little pricy at $14 for what it was. Would we return? Yes…but we would probably stick with the burgers.
