I’ve eaten at Golden Spoon several times mostly for breakfast. But today I thought I would try their after breakfast menu. I was greeted upon entering the restaurant by a waitress I would later come to know as Cynthia. The world needs a sprinkle of this woman everywhere. I started in the work force in the restaurant industry many years ago. Cynthia is by far the epitome of what customer service should look like. Throughout my meal there was never a time I felt forgotten or in need. Cynthia kind of customer service is without a doubt ole school in a new age era., most customer service reps could learn a lot from this kind human being. It is refreshing to see such a genuine expression of love toward others and the way she approach her job. If I was not a retired business owner and seeking upfront faces to represent my business, I would without a doubt set out to recruit this woman to be a part of my company. I was looking forward to going to this restaurant. I was told that the Catfish was amazing. I love catfish. They give me 3 big pieces of catfish. Already I’m smiling. The catfish was good. I had sweet potato fries and onion rings. They were OK. Will I come back??? My cousin’s fish was not cooked all the way. She gave it back to them so they can make hers some fresh fish. But what they did was just Drop the fish back in the friar to cook more. I don’t know about you but that was a no no for me. Yes, they have filtered . for that.

All I can says about the golden spoon is, if your looking for nice home made dinner food this is your place. I like this place because for now it’s low key and quiet when you go in.

Was on the road visiting friends for less than 24 hours. I headed to the closet Publix to pickup something to take to my hotel room. I saw this Diner and something said come on in. I’m so glad I did! Friendly staff and delicious food. I had the seafood platter, great catfish! I even gave my leftovers to a lady with chickens, who were regulars. This is a hidden gem!

First visit – we were pleased to find empty seats on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is spacious and clean, plenty of seating. Even though it wasn’t too busy service was friendly but a little on the slow side. A bit pricey but food was tasty, generous portions. All things considered, recommended for friends and family.

First time going and I have to say it was not what I expected. I thought it was a Chinese restaurant. I ordered a ruebin sandwich with onion rings. No complaint. The onion rings are the best I’ve had and they were seasoned just right. Server was very friendly and checked on me.

** Update: “We went there for Father’s Day and even though it was packed we had good service and Delicious food.” … Service was good even though they had a large group eating there. Yes, we did have to wait a little longer due to this, but we didn’t mind much. Lunch and Dinner is really good, and the seating is comfortable. The Catfish is Awesome! They even have AUCE Catfish! The seafood platter is very nice. Club Sandwich, and Taco salad is good too. Went back to try Breakfast, and it was also good. Scrambled eggs, and hash browns were delicious.

Seems like they take a lot of pride in their food and service. Everyone there is very nice. A lot of windows so it has a lot of natural light. Vibe is nice and you won’t leave without eating something delicious. Server was super sweet and the owner very very nice and good at the job. Enjoyed the experience and conversation thoroughly. Will definitely go back when I’m back that way again.

Great place, worth the money. The first time we ate lunch and the second time we came back for breakfast. Cindy our waitress was super friendly. The rest of the staff needs to be nice to each other.
