Overall the food was good. You can make your own bowl to your liking. The server was stressed out when we were there. Not sure why they weren’t even that busy. The restroom smelled like a sewer pipe broke and it permeates to the restaurant

Ordered from ‘Wow Bao’ on UberEats, and received these dry, chewy, microwaved-tasting bao. No sauce provided to help choke these down, either. Looked up the address (510 W Bay Area Blvd) and it’s a ghost kitchen within Ghengis Grill. Would not recommend eating here – a frozen dinner would have been more palatable.

Today, me and my family went for dinner, and despite being the only server working tonight, Jean-Laurent gave me and my family the absolute best service. He made sure to let us know that he was the only one working, and that it might take a few. Then he was able to get us seated and with drinks. He even made my son a raspberry tea, which came out amazing. Our food was delivered pretty quickly despite him being the only person working. So glad that we decided to stay for dinner. Thank you and take care of Jean. He is an amazing asset to your business.

I don’t typically have bad things to say about the restaurants I visit, but it’s difficult to speak positively after sitting with an evaporator fan blasting into my back as I sit there eating with plastic utensils from a paper bowl with roaches running around on the floor. The experience was quite different from the last time I ate at a Genghis Grill before the pandemic. The one saving grace was the friendly staff.

This place has gone down hill a lot since COVID started. I use to absolutely love this place. The last two times I’ve come in have been a very different experience though. The bowls and utensils are all disposable now, they used to be really nice, cool bowls. The spices are all premade now, that variety is gone. It takes much longer to get food and they mixed up a bunch of orders when I was there. The place is beat up, stains on the seats, water marks on the ceilings, wires hanging behind things, and a very slippery floor. The soda machine was out of syrup for Dr. Pepper. We stood at the counter waiting for food for 5+ min with a lady right there before someone finally told us they would bring the food to us. It just gave me the feeling of being uncomfortable and a little dirty. The food was still decent, but we probably won’t be back.

Four years ago I rated this restaurant 5 stars and as of today it is barely holding onto the one star that it has. Their a/c is currently out which is unfortunate but is not the fault of the employees however the other problems were. We were the only table in the restaurant and it took us forever to get our food. We did not get our potstickers that we ordered until we notified the manager. Once we received our food separately the food was burnt. Everything was served in disposable bowls and the cups and forks were plastic. The two waiters that were working spent their time on their phones or goofing around with one another. One clearly had an AirPod in his ear and was on the phone the entire time we were there. It is unfortunate to see this place go downhill as much as it has because it used to be a favorite of the families but no longer. The price is also ridiculous for the quality of the food. The large bowl used to be around $16 and now it is $24

When are you going to fix the AC!!! I LOVE the food here and I am happy with the service but fix the AC already! I actually prefer to sit outside in the Houston weather, at least there’s a chance of a tiny breeze. How can you make your employees work like that? Especially the cooks!

Walked in and no one at front door for several minutes, made my way to a table and noticed that it stunk like rotten seafood in the dining room. Wanted at table for several minutes and finally someone walked by and I asked them if I could get a drink and he acted like I was bothers him, he also asked me why I didn’t get seated by the front door person. I told him I waited for several minutes and no one came, so when a waiter finally came over I looked at him and said that I didn’t need a drink because I’m not eating here. This place was disgusting to say the least, restaurant needs a good cleaning and new management that cares about customers and cleanliness of their restaurant! This place does not even deserve 1 satay, Will not go back ever again

Came here with my husband and a friend. We all ordered at the same time. My friend got her food served after waiting a while and I guess the waitress forgot to put in our half of the order because my husband and I waited another half hour and our food still wasn’t done. We were polite and tried to be patient but the waitress wouldn’t take any responsibility and just kept saying it was busy even though there were only like four other tables filled in the restaurant and they all had their food so we left without our food. I did get the potstickers I ordered and they were decent. My friend ordered the fried rice and said it tasted like Spanish rice so she ended up asking for white rice.
