We had sushi and fried rice for the first time, and it was just okay. I had the chicken tempura roll and vegetable fried rice. I was a little surprised at the cuisine. The roll was okay, but the dipping sauce was good. The vegetables in my fried rice consisted of only a mix of green peas and carrots. It honestly seemed like they used a bag of TJ Farm mixed vegetables that included little diced carrots and wrinkled peas. Very weird! I’m used to vegetable fried rice including broccoli, eggs, sprouts, bok choy, onions, mushrooms, etc. The fried rice seemed like it wasn’t true fried rice. It didn’t even have that fried brown taste or look. The fried rice I’m used to is normally made with a peanut or olive oil with soy sauce. It was a little disappointing. On the flip side . . . the service was good, and the restaurant was clean.

I love this place! The sushi lunch special is my usual. It comes with 3 full rolls, soup, and salad. They have good hibachi as well. You really can’t go wrong with the lunch specials. Dining area is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. Stay away from the door side since it can be cold in the winter with people coming and going.

Rolls were good, hamachi kama was disappointing. It looked deep fried rather that roasted and was served with no spices or sauces (not even salt), so was kind of tasteless. Too bad, as that is one of my favorite dishes at other Japanese restaurants.

We’re from NE Wisconsin but when we do get to the Milwaukee area, as we recently did for a Bucks game, we make a point to stop at Fujiyama in Brookfield. Their sushi is absolutely delicious!! Pictured rolls: Mt. Fuji (left), Kamikaze (right), Fujiyama (back row)

This used to be amazing, but not anymore. The sushi is still very good but over expensive. However, the rolls have gotten disappointing. The fish in the rolls in much less and they cover this by putting in to much avocado (in everything, even rolls that shouldn’t have it) and cucumber. The last tuns roll I tried had so much black and white pepper that is wasn’t edible. Won’t be returning anymore.

I ordered Rainbow Roll, at first glance the roll looked huge and oddly shaped. Each piece was actually 2 pieces and didn’t look fresh but it tasted fine and I survived the night. My dad ordered scallops and raved about it and the rest of the party had tempura and they enjoyed. The wait staff was friendly but lacked experience.

Probably the best sushi in the area. Well made delicious combinations with specialty rolls that are well thought out. We were lucky enough to come after they reinstated their special reduced prices on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I was able to order a MASSIVE plate of my sushi choices for less than $30.

Our server was pleasant and friendly. Reasonable pandemic precautions were evident during our visit. The meals that we chose were fresh, delicious and visually attractive, served promptly and priced in line with peers in the area.

Ok, so my wife wanted to go to Fujiyama for her birthday and we have been to the one on Hwy 100 several times and have always enjoyed it. I decided we would try this one thinking it was the same, but right when we walked in we could see they didn’t have the Hibachi grills. Oh well, not that big of a deal, we weren’t going to drive to the other one at this point. We were seated pretty quickly, which was nice, and the server gave us two napkins and two pairs of chopsticks for our family of four. We placed our order and got three forks for our salads. A while later we got our dinners and saw that my wife and kid’s meals were wrong. The server realized this and asked if we would like to switch for the correct orders and my wife replied “yes”. I started to eat my dinner because I figured it would be cold if I waited too long. A while later, the server came back, and seeing the plates of food asked again if we’d like to switch. My wife again replied “yes”. By the time their food arrived, I was finished and it was my turn to somewhat awkwardly watch my family eat. The good part is that the food was good, but I feel like I owe my family a trip to Hwy 100.

We’re from Pittsburgh of town but visit here every summer. Good service, food is relatively good for a suburban Midwest Japanese restaraunt. Disappointed to find hair in one piece of food at recent visit, but response was good. Expect to be back again.
