Truly a gem in Fryeburg! An amazing menu with a great selection of almost anything you could want. While it may be on the more expensive side, it is so worth it. The freshness and HUGE portions can’t be beat, so come here hungry. Both the seafood and other meals were incredible, our party loved everything we got (Mexican street corn, haddock fish tacos, lobster roll, jaegerschnitzel, and more).

Fantastic service, food, and atmosphere, and they had the hockey game on! I am not afraid to say that I am extremely particular about all of the above, and Fryeburg Kitchen and Market did not disappoint. I was extremely impressed with the Split Pea & Ham Soup, not an easy thing to pull off in a restaurant, and they did it like it was homemade at my grandfather’s kitchen table! The lobster was delicious, of course, coleslaw and onion rings wonderful! The people, staff, and customers were wicked friendly. I most certainly will visit again when I am “home”.

The food here is so good; better than most places close by. Fresh seafood is delicious. But that cannot make up for an understaffed front of house and ear bleed inducing music. I’ll never be back on any night they have live music. So sorry; asked twice for it to be turned down, to no avail. (None of the tables in front of the stage were taken.)

They have a unique food concept whereby the menu changes weekly with a different theme. That’s a first in all of my travels around the country. It’s a plus, but could also a minus as it might be difficult to hone their skills on more regular offerings. This week the emphasis was on southern cooking. Our group had haddock and chips, fried chicken, ribs, and pork chops. Unfortunately, all were slightly overcooked and a little dry. They certainly give you enough of the main entree. Service was very good. Price with food, drinks, and tax averaged $35 a person for what we had.
