Came here with my Muslim friend and the bouncer was targeting her and making extremely racist and disgusting comments. When the owner confronted he laughed and thought it was funny. Nasty bar don’t ever go here. This was a while back and it’s disgusting how they’re trying defend this discrimination.

Tavern is no doubt the best bar in Denton. The staff are undoubtedly helpful and always assist no matter what. If any conflict happens the staff make sure to take care of it immediately. It is very clean and the music is awesome. Not to mention the owner is really cool and always standing by the men’s bathroom being social with all customers. Fry Street Tavern is the best bar on the strip and the best bar in Denton

Been here a couple of times and it’s been ok but will never be going back. Went there last night and it was very busy, and the bouncers/front staff did not have the entering and exit situation under control. The bouncer then proceeded to call us slurs as we left and calling us f**king stupid.

WORST BAR IN TEXAS EVER. DONT RECOMMEND FOR ANYBODY. extremely vile boss. stopped ONLY to use the bathroom. this cheap bar has only ONE BATHROOM. the “boss” who was working a bar tending position claimed his name as “BK”. he banged like the police on the restroom door and screamed one girl at a time. none of us knew that was even a rule due to it being our first time there. After exiting the bathroom I decided I’d order a drink then quickly changed my mind. This man’s demeanor was the worst demeanor any human can possibly have. The bathroom was also EXTREMELY DISGUSTING. he ALSO OVER SERVED A FEMALE WHO WALKED INTO THE BATHROOM PLASTERED WHILE I WASNT FULLY DRESSED. “BK” decided to yell to me that he will do whatever he wants when i asked him please not to bang on the door like that again. I was having a good time, the place has a nice atmosphere and good vibe. But after a beer and 2 shots I went to the bar and was told by the bartender that he already told me I couldn’t get anymore drinks. I hadn’t even ordered drinks from that bartender before. So I just talked to my friends minding my own business and I get kicked out by a bouncer.. I would just like some clarification because there were people at the bar way more drunk than me

My buddy Austin was the bar manager here for a long time and I used to come out more often when I was younger. It is a college bar so keep that in mind. But super inexpensive well drinks and plenty of good music. Great place to socialize and dance!
