Counter service casual restaurant. Stand in line, order, and they bring the food out to you. Made from scratch pastries, gourmet espresso drinks, full service breakfast and lunch menu….not to mention a case full of ready to go salads, sandwiches and cakes. And yes…mimosas, beer and wine can be ordered as well. There is a dining room that seats about 50, as well as a very spacious patio…you can even bring your dog 😉

This place is great. Can be busy, but excellent pastries, pie and coffee. A great lunch after a walk or ride on the nearby trail. Very casual layout, friendly service. Will be back when nearby.

I heard lots of praises for Karen’s bakery so I was very curious and decided to try it on Friday noon. There was a short line but it moved very slowly. The dining room was packed so I decided to grab some desserts to go. The girl on the cashier had her mind somewhere else as she had to asked me 3x for my order of 2 desserts (maybe she was new?).

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture! This place is a must see. My mouth waters just thinking about their fresh and healthy options. They have salads, soups, sandwiches, bakery delicacies and a warm and inviting ambiance. I don’t think you can go wrong with any option on their menu!

Such a beautiful place. I had the curried tuna and it was soooo good. We also sampled the morning glory muffins and lemon bars both very delicious. The muffin would have been perfect to dunk in a cup of black coffee!!!

I was thinking of birthday cake, and Karen’s bakery popped in my mind as someone had told me they had cakes better than Raleys or Safeway. So, I gave it a try and got the Strawberry Cream cake… oh, what a horrible cake… totally dry, no sign of any strawberries or even the cream didn’t taste anything like strawberries, and please don’t get me started on the pricetag.
