Everytime we try to go the website says it’s open but they are closed.. maybe having actual business hours on the site would be helpful and not waste people’s time or provide more bad reviews.

I ate at this four dads pup just a couple weeks after they opened. I brought my mother all the way from South Carolina to Connecticut for her 50th class reunion which they decided the day before the reunion they would have a meet up at 4 Dad’s pub. There was about 60 to 65 people that showed up at the restaurant that night all from my mom’s class reunion Plus all of the regular customers that were sitting inside the restaurant. I will admit there was quite a bit of confusion with the drink orders and when it came time to pay the bills but I completely understand because there was so many separate orders sometimes there would be three to four different orders per table as you can imagine it could get confusing. I personally had the inferno chicken dip. Which I could only describe as amazing with the pita bread that was served with it. I actually had a long conversation with one of the owners at the end of my meal and told him how wonderful everything went and how great the food was. I have already been back to a different for Dad’s pub in Granby Connecticut and I will return every time I come up to Connecticut.

Really enjoyed the live music, The Leftovers. The hostesses and waitstaff were very friendly and apologetic when things weren’t on point. Unfortunately, our drinks came late….it seemed that a lot of drinks were just sitting and waiting to be picked up by waitstaff. And then one of our entrees was barely lukewarm when it arrived. Waitstaff needs to get better at timing and window pickup (Should have been fully trained three weeks after opening – not an excuse). Would not recommend the Steak & Cheese…the meat was overcooked, and there wasn’t even enough to cover the bread it was served on (very small portion), and again lukewarm. The wings were decent. With limited menu option, every entree should really be on point. Also, you need to advertise your buffet hours better.

Tried to have a nice Father’s Day dinner with a lakeside view and was sadly disappointed. The view is beautiful but the services was terrible as well as food. I made a reservation for 8 people and no one informed me it was going to be buffet style over the phone. Once we got there we sat down and ordered drinks which took 30 minutes to even receive the restaurant was not busy and could’ve taken even longer if my father had not said anything ! Our waitress did not seem interested in serving us and did not come to our table for very long periods of time. We then got scraps of buffet food that were barely warm and extremely picked over there was not much food and was charged FULL PRICE a $200 not including tip. I was very disappointed and will not be coming back, the communication and service at this restaurant was horrible.

My sister called to make Father’s day reservations. They informed her that the kitchen closed at 8p. The reservation was made for 6:45p. When we arrived it was buffet style, which they did not tell her over the phone. Waitress took drink order. Which took like 20min. Restaurant was not busy. The buffet food was pretty much finished and we ate luke warm scraps. We were charged full price and the food was not good. Horrible first experience. Nobody apologized for the confusion. I can’t believe we paid full price for eating old sub par food, as it did not agree with me. I will not return.

My husband and I have been twice since 4DP has opened. We’ve found the food, service and atmosphere to be outstanding. We would strongly encourage anyone to try this restaurant out. The mac and cheese, wings, and nachos were great. As long time Coventry residents we look forward to many more great visits!
