Great atmosphere! We got the eggplant parm appetizer and split a margarita pizza with half sausage. SOOOO good!!! We also got a few old fashioneds on the house made by some very skilled and very friendly bartenders 🙂 this place collects regulars and it’s easy to see how. We will be back and bring our friends

We went here because of all the rave reviews. When we arrived we were a little hesitant because we saw it had a drive through. Is this fast food Italian? We faced our fears and went in. We were surprised to find a bar and a modern restaurant. We sat and started wondering again when our waitress came complete with a fast food headset. Kind of a confusing mix of impressions were coming at us. Then we ordered, and we were so glad we stayed. Their house Cabernet was excellent. The Caprese salad was fabulous, and included Prosciutto, which was a great add. I don’t know why it was so good, it just seemed like all the ingredients tasted better than normal. I ordered the pizza with lots of meat. The name is a long word starting with an “S” that I couldn’t pronounce, so I pointed to it. It was also very good, again all the ingredients including the crust just seemed a little better than normal. My wife ordered the Ravioli with Sage and Butter. I never order food with sage or rosemary because I feel like I’m eating perfume, but after I scraped off the sage it was quite good. Our only disappointment was with the quantity of ravioli. $16.50 for 6 squares of ravioli just seemed out of place compared to the generous portions of salad and pizza. And the service from our fast food waitress was so-so. Anyway, we really enjoyed the food and recommend you look past the drive through and give it a try!

Like other reviewers, when I saw “drive-thru Italian,” my interest was piqued. I ordered via drive-thru and was able to ask the host questions, like I wanted to know if I could get (vegetarian) fettuccine Alfredo. I couldn’t, so rather than getting pasta with the basil/gnocchi sauce, I ended up going with a margarita pizza. Typically, I tend to prefer a standard cheese pizza over a margarita, but this was amazing! I loved the pizza and would recommend it and this restaurant and come back. The pizza had a noticeable oil to it, but it wasn’t just nasty greasy oil; I’m pretty certain it was olive oil. That gave it an additional unique taste and experience that also felt fancier than eating a run of the mill pizza.

Cool place with a jazzy vibe. Delicious appetizers. Pizza was cooked perfectly and the sausage was excellent. Only possible criticism is that the sauce was a bit bland, salt fixed that easily. Very friendly and attentive staff. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I’ve been going to the downtown Phoenix location for years, started going to the new Scottsdale location couple of months ago and the food has always been absolutely amazing. However, I had a really poor experience this time around. I ordered the meatballs, gnocchi and the pasta of the day. The pasta of the day was really good, but the gnocchi was severely overcooked – instead of the chewy pillowy texture gnocchi is meant to have, this one had the texture of mashed potatoes. The meatballs are usually in a nice, silky sauce – this time around the sauce was watered down and thin. I am usually not one to send food back, especially when it’s takeout – however this time since the gnocchi was inedible we had to go back to the restaurant to get it replaced. The replacement gnocchi was also severely overcooked, only slightly better than what I initially received. Very sad to see the drastic drop in quality.

It was the last evening of our trip through AZ and it was an absolute highlight. Everybody was super kind and attentive. The food was completely out of this world. I‘ve been a lot to Italy in my life but that was some amazing, authentic Italian food. By far the best Italian Restaurant I’ve been to in the US and one of the best over all. If you are in Phoenix you want to enjoy the best Italian food of your life you have to visit Forno 301!

The food and service were phenomenal. My husband and I traveled from Dallas Texas, looking to possibly relocate to Arizona. We’d heard the food was great. I would definitely recommend the Gnocchi Pesto, it’s creamy and very delicious.

I have been familiar with Forno 301 since their original 301 location downtown. I was skeptical if a branch in south Scottsdale could be as good. But it absolutely was and they have a drive through where you can order their whole menu with a short wait. The inside was nice. I can’t wait for the cooler weather since their outdoor space looked very comfortable! So glad they opened in our neighborhood.

This was a pleasant surprise! We loved Slice eat, especially in the earlier days. It did go downhill some in the later days. When I saw that it had closed I was bummed but figured that was the end of it. Not long ago I drove by and saw the “Forno 301” sign and got excited. I’d heard great things about the Phoenix location and knew the owner had a hit there so it made sense to keep the concept going as it was already successful. My wife and I dined in and sat at the bar. The Italian gentleman tending the bar was super friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu. Not sure if staff work in this and the Phoenix location but the service here is on another level than Slice Eat offered. That was a fast casual and this is more sit down dining. We were impressed with how well they all seemed to keep things moving including the kitchen. We had to order the pizza and mista salad as those were favorites from Slice Eat. They were the best of what we remember and more. I also ordered the pesto gnocchi and can say it was the best I’ve ever had. The gnocchi were lighter and fluffier than I’ve had which was a delight. The pesto was the essence of basil and fresh garlic. I will absolutely order that again. The bartender poured some limoncello for dessert, which we loved. They are really going above and beyond here and want return business. There won’t be any issues getting that here. The dining room isn’t large so maybe plan ahead or opt for the drive thru that offers the same menu. I’m so glad they didn’t give up on this location as we really needed more options like this in the area. Thanks again!

This place is amazing! We decided to have my grandfather’s 80th birthday here. We were all pleased. To start, the service was spectacular! The servers did a great job! They did so much to accommodate us and make us all feel comfortable. We had our private room, very spacious, with plenty of seating and they even let us decorate it up. That was very nice of them. Service was a 10/10.
