Nice and savory, mostly-authentic soups and dumplings. I probably will come back and try the shortrib, that one sounds a little better. I got the Taiwanese beef soup and there wasn’t quite enough meat in there for me but the broth was delicious. The dumplings are just steamed. I prefer fried but ayoooo!

Authentic as you can get. Amazing food.. the real thing. I’m so happy with this restaurant I can’t drive by and not stop and eat here. It’s 1 of a kind, here in Boulder Colorado.

The best Chinese food in Boulder!! I love this place and have been going there consistently for about a year now. The braised pork belly and duck soup are truly to die for. Honestly one of my favorite places to grab a bite <3

You don’t go to Flower Pepper for the ambiance – and they proudly tout that fact on their menu. All the effort, all the talent, and all the resources go into some really, really tasty food. Started with Tiger Food. Not for the faint of heart. My lips were tingling after the first couple of bites. There are jalapenos in those shredded veggies, but the effect isn’t what you get from just jalapenos. Crispest cucumbers, ever, in the cucumber salad. Then the duck noodle soup. Wow. excellent noodles (dipped some in the Tiger Food sauce, and the duck and the broth were . . . amazing. Finished with pork dumplings. Flower Pepper adds some magic to their dumplings. Not sure what it is, but they were incredible. Light, tasty, very fairly priced and served with a big smile. Love this place!

This is the best place to eat in Boulder hands down. Very authentic flavors and kind owners with that hole-in-the-wall charm.

This place was very small. Only 3 tables and 2 bar seating area. Because it’s a family run business they don’t have a waitress so make sure that you clean up after yourself. Ordered the soup dumplings, sour and spicy glass noodles, beef noodle soup, and the pork belly over rice. The soup dumplings were AMAZING! I loved the way they tasted and there was actually broth inside them. They were kind of small so that was sad but the flavor was great! The sour and spicy glass noodles were really sour so if you don’t like super sour things, I don’t suggest getting it. Otherwise it was good as well. The beef noodle soup was great with extra soy sauce to give it more pow! Lol the pork belly wasn’t salty enough so I added soy sauce to give it even more flavor and salt. It was great! Even though all the food was good, I’m only giving it a 4/5 because of the cleanliness of the place is really lacking.

Really enjoy the flavours. Taste very authentic and unlike any other Chinese I’ve had before. Food comes fast and I like the low key vibes.

A cold brick of plain noodles where the dandan should have been. How did this get all the way from line to bag to dasher like this? Almost funny. The “soup” dumplings contained no soup, just tiny dumplings with tiny wads of meat

Absolutely fulfilled my noodle cravings. We had the stewed pork belly and taiwanese braised beef noodles. Both dishes were extraordinarily tasty, but the soup dumplings were our favorite. Limited seating, but a great place to stop in for a quick, delicious meal.

Nancy, the owner, is the absolute sweetest person with the best energy. She was so excited to have us in the shop to try her food, which was out of this world. I have no words to describe the depth of flavor – you just gotta try it. This somehow just became my favorite restaurant in Boulder.
