Came back after visiting many years ago and probably will not go back again. The local vibe is nice, drinks were OK. The apps & mains were good except for what they called their Grilled Brie. One look at the photo and you may think “that doesn’t look grilled” – and you’d be correct. After bringing the dish, the server commented “doesn’t really look grilled” and walked away. Nobody seemed to care.

Staff was friendly, kind, and attentive. Filled waters often and checked on us. The food was delicious and we would to go back to try some more. Was a cute little place, maybe a local hole in the wall with regulars.

Football Sunday at the bar! Lots of football talk but also great atmosphere for 1 on 1 chats.
I always ask if the place I’m in has any coders on the menu, bartender thought she was put but went above and beyond to find a 6pk of Strongbow Cider, made me very happy! And the open face steak sandwich with cheese and caramelized onions side of fries. Delicious though I prefer my onions caramelized, soft and cinnamon colored and maybe the other slice of bread for easier eating. Fries were good as I ate all of mine! Price was decent and the meal and drinks were fantastic so well worth it.

Fantastic local haunt, revamped with new ownership. The food was delicious. The staff were personable and on point from beginning to end. Top notch food from Salmon to Burgers. If you find yourself passing through Southbury on the 84 run fo yourself and favor pull off exit 15 and try this gem!

We had a large group come in without a reservation last minute after a fundraiser. There were at least 15 of us. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. Our servers were excellent and did not miss a beat handling a large group last minute. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were also great! Glad we decided to stop here. Will definitely be back!

Food of CT
We visited here tonight for dinner because we had never been and always wondered what it was like. As soon as we sat down, we noticed the odd decor and thought it was very dingy. I ordered the Mac and cheese, while my parents ordered a Philly cheesesteak and a corned beef Reuben. I knew as soon as I saw the Mac and cheese that it wasn’t going to be great, and it proved to be pretty flavorless. As cheesy as the texture was, the flavor of it was barely there, and all I really tasted was butter. The sandwiches were fine, but we all agreed that everything was extremely average. Our waiter was also not very attentive or friendly, but the bill was definitely affordable for 3 people.

I received a grey, lifeless burger that my coworker said looked like it had been boiled. (I ordered medium rare). The lettuce was under the burger so by the time I got it, it was no longer crisp but the consistency of boiled cabbage and sopping wet, I ended up pulling it out of the sandwich like a wet napkin. No mayo on the burger as requested, the cheese was congealed into a hard lump off to one side.
Ordered truffle fries that sadly were dry and hard and cold, the Parmesan cheese did not stick to them, just fell off into the bottom of the container. I really want to support local and $23 was steep for lunch; this was my first time ordering from you folks so I was happy to take the chance.
I hate writing negative reviews but man, this meal was an absolute miss for the price. I won’t be back.

Decent bar, with decent service and decent food. However if you are a minority, please be aware much of the patrons are not crazy about minorities and the staff only do so much. If you’re a minority, especially if you have children, please dine elsewhere.
