This was hands down the worst sub sandwich I have ever had. Customers were told that they couldn’t toast the bread. Fine, I ordered a turkey bacon ranch. Sorry no bacon. Fine, I’ll take a turkey, cheese, mayo and lettuce. Got a drink, no diet drinks, their machine was out of everything but Dr Pepper and Bargs Root Beer. All of the flavors for the machine were also out. The sandwich came out fast. The cheese on the sandwich was missing and it had onions. The turkey was like it had come out of a warm bath just wet and soggy. I took one bite and sent it to the trash. Never again.

We had never eaten at this location so my husband decided to stop in after a doctors appointment. It was Veterans Day, so he decided to take advantage of their special for veterans. He walked in and was not greeted whatsoever. When he walked up to the counter, the woman said “I’m the only one here and the guy in front of you just ordered 6 subs”. We decided we didn’t want further burden the woman so we immediately left.

Granted the woman was probably overwhelmed, Which is completely understandable, but I’ve worked food service before and I know how overwhelming it can get. Usually, you greet the customer, get their order and then say hey we’re really short staffed or I’m the only one working today, so it may take a little bit longer than expected, but please be patient. What you don’t do is just straight out of the gate without even greeting someone say look I’m the only one here and someone just ordered a bunch of subs. We definitely won’t be back.

Bought the new turkey sub made it a large since we liked it when we first tried it. Paid the full price for a large. After purchase the work tells me they didn’t have the original turkey for it that they were out and they’d have to use the turkey meat they use on other subs. I was okay with that. Once I got home the sub had nearly no stuffing/ dressing on it so I literally paid full price for a turkey on bread and mayo with a side of gravey. This is extremely unacceptable and strongly suggest not to go hear. Drive just a little farther and get a sub down the road. This is poor customer service.

Walked in to pick up an online order. This guy finished serving the woman at the register then walked over to the soda machine and got himself a drink. No biggie, it’s hot. But then, he walked back into the kitchen, folded out this step ladder, pulled out his phone, and sat in my line of sight for like 8 minutes before walking over and helping me. Really made me angry because I could see my food sitting on the counter the whole time. He just needed to hand it to me.

I normally LOVE Firehouse subs but after this I will never entertain the thought of eating there again. My 4 year olds grilled chz wasn’t even toasted the cheese was barely melted. I asked for light mayo and there was so much mayo that my bun was gooey. I was really looking forward to my sandwich until I bit into more fat than meat. Very disappointed with how the staff acted bothered to take my order. Do better Firehouse subs you lost a great customer

Stopped here for a quick lunch while I was in Charleston last week. I had the hook and ladder as a salad. It was delicious! I normally have it as a sub but decided to try as a salad. Yum! The staff was friendly and quick to make our order. I was so hungry and the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures. I come to Charleston once a month and will be sure to stop back in.

While traveling home to Ohio, from an out of state trip, we stopped for a quick dinner. There were no patrons in the restaurant. So they were far from busy. We had 6 sub orders. And spent $90! 3 were meatball subs and all three subs were extremely dry to where I asked the employee if it should come with sauce – to which he replied it did have sauce. No, no it did not and the meatballs appeared to be 3 days old. I had to ask for a side of sauce and he brought us such a small amount we couldn’t even use for all three subs. At that point it was clear he didn’t want to assist. Disappointed. Sadly, I would not recommend. And I never leave reviews.

The employees we encountered were very polite and helpful. I ordered my sandwich gluten free, and the man making my sandwich made a point of asking if it was an allergy or not. Food was good and came out pretty quickly given that the sandwiches are made to order and toasted.

The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and we had a short wait time. The subs were freshly made and very tasty. This place is family friendly and affordable.
